Children of the cattle rustlers (though one of them has more experience in peddling teas than stealing livestock) are raised, as one might expect, doing some less-than-honourable deeds. Certainly not murder, but most are partial to robbery to get what they want.

Of course, most of them pick up the skills of their parents’ trade: cattle rustling. Those who dislike the physical aspect discover other ways to make themselves useful, finding ways to alter brands, steal calves, deflect suspicion at auctions. Those are all fine and good, but there’s nothing quite like stampeding cattle under cover of night, adrenaline pumping in your veins and wind howling in your ears. And after, watching the sunrise bathe the endless plains in red and gold.

They can chase whatever fate they want, seek whatever fortune lies in wait-- an honest life will never feel this good.

Born the runt of his litter, Lou looks about as thin as a twig and half as strong, like a good breeze would send him flying and a firm handshake would snap him in half. The reason why he's managed to live this long in this lawless life-- the sole reason-- is because he's never taken a damn thing for granted. Every scuffle he's been in, every close escape he's had, Lou has treated it like it was his last.

Looking at him, you'd know it: there's this hollow look in his eyes that reminds most folk of hunger. And sure, he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer by far but dragons who underestimate him will find themselves on the wrong end of a gun when he catches on.

One thing you should know (to some, a saving grace), Lou is not too fond of killing. It is a matter of when needs must, of course, but the last thing he is is an animal.

Lou has suffered the worst of this wasteland has to offer. To emerge from it without that hair-trigger reflex means one thing: he's stronger than he looks.
