xxxx The oy'krani held her head in her hands as she sat hunched over in her bed. The frame of the bed trembled with her fearful shaking. Tears streamed down her face, down to her hands, and dripped down from her forearms to her elbows, making the pillows and blanket she owned slightly damp. "That wasn't me, was it?" She asked herself. “There's no way I was a skydancer. I was never a dragon. Was I?"

xxxx She looked at herself in the mirror placed beside her bed. Her brown, pink, and gold scales shimmered in the faint light of the candles. Gold horns jutted upwards from her temples and the points of new ones had begun to curl back from her cheekbones. Her face was still humanoid. She still had eyes which resembled grapes. Her salmon-tinted mane flowed down the sides of her head. Her fins still sat squarely on her back. She neither felt nor saw a tail attached to her waist. She was her. She was still her. But something felt wrong about the recurring dream she’d been having. The dream about the dragon—one of the dragons from the Pagfenx. Oy'kra shook her head. Rather than focus on what might’ve happened, she drags her legs out from under the blanket and slides off the bed onto her back paws. She reaches for her coral skirt, ready to get on with her day.

A few lore details!

This lair is not made up of dragons. With the exception of the Pantheon tab, the different dragon breeds are the different species in my wip story: Nogenïfes (prophecy).

Terms to know and learn:
Sojïna = living being made of magic
Sojano = living being made of matter
Sojätoy = living being made of both magic and matter

Fae = Fedehyu "FED-eh-HUE" (Humanoid Monster)
A Sojïna that manifests into a strikingly human appearance. Most commonly, they are bipedal and have four limbs, but they absolutely must have a strikingly human face. Otherwise they are a different type of sojïna.
(Some zombies, some skeletons, fauxpires (fetuodö), vampires, tieflings, dwarves, centaurs, harpies, serthis, maren, etc.)
6336.png 13423.png 13421.png 21425.png 358.png 23832.png
—Faes are the breed of choice due to their size and tendency to form huge colonies full of just their species alone.

Guardian = Tufonga "two-FONE-ga" (Western Dragon)
A Sojätoy that manifests into a quadrupedal or bipedal form with two wings mounted on the back. Usually possess scales, feathers, and/or fur-like feathers, depending on variety.
(The classic model for modern breeds in fr)
56134306.png 36352008.png 51028365.png 58461586.png 53129361.png 21523055.png 43907357.png 43898336.png
—Guardians are the breed of choice due to them having a very standard draconic appearance and have protective instincts.

Mirror =
???

Tundra = Fedefogwe "FED-eh-FŌG-weh" (Animal-like Monster)
A Sojïna that manifests into a form similar to one or more real life animals. Different from fedehyu in that they almost always have tails and muzzles.
(Furries, kitsune, nekomata, etc.)
16483.png 28240.png 29584.png 19454.png 360.png 17501.png
—Tundras are the breed of choice due to their furry appearance.

Pearlcatcher = Gïsha "GIE-sha" (Glitch)
A Sojätoy that manifests into a bipedal, four limbed form with a pair of wings, large ears, and a tail. Normally have a thin layer of fur on their bodies that grows thicker on the chest as well as a full head of hair.
(No flight rising examples)
NSnpMFl.png
—Pearlcatchers are the breed of choice due to their heightened ego.

Ridgeback = Oy'krani "oy-KHRA-nih" (Falsaster/Bone Fairy)
A Sojätoy that manifests into a bipedal, four limbed form with spines along the back, horns, a bob tail, and a small set of fins on the back. Normally are covered in small scales on some areas and skin in other areas and have a full head of hair.
(No flight rising examples)
da2mBLz.png
—Ridgebacks are the breed of choice due to their spines, and habitat of origin.

Spiral = Lowesoj "low-WEH-sōj" (Dreambeast)
A rare, bizarre Sojätoy that manifests from large collections of dreams. Typically have an unusual amount of eyes, short (no bigger than 65in/1.65m), are typically avian in appearance with fragmented wings as forearms. Vary in a wide array of colors. More powerful lowesoj may have a partial "halo" that floats around their head or neck. Despite their name, they are actually very friendly.
(No flight rising examples)
—Spirals are the breed of choice due to their hyperactivity and social nature.

Snapper = Fedepla "FED-eh-PLAH" (Amorphous Monster)
A Sojïna that has no definite form. Must have no "true" form to be considered amorphous.
(Slime monsters)
638.png 10885.png 13085.png 16482.png 15288.png 34795.png
—Snappers are the breed of choice due to their rounded appearance.

Skydancer =
???

Bogsneak =
???

Obelisk = Hyuman "HUE-man" (Humans)
The newly discovered species (compared to the Gïsha, at least) which is the only one of its kind to be Sojano. Sojano were, for thousands of years, regarded to only be composed of non-magical animals. The discovery of humans has caused other magical species to rethink how sentient life is possible.
image_3.jpg
—Obelisks are the breed of choice due to their newly discovered nature, hardiness, and their friendly disposition.

Imperial = Tufonsak "two-FONE-sahk" (Eastern Dragon)
A Sojätoy that manifests into a long, ferret-like quadrupedal form. Usually possesses scales and sometimes fur/hair. Usually possess whiskers.
(Wingless Imperials, wingless Veilspun, wingless Pearlcatchers)
49541694.png 66613737.png 53597959.png 31700689.png 4179717.png 4046106.png 56133498.png 65681629.png
—Imperials are the breed of choice due to similar appearance.

Nocturne = Nanashuto "NAH-nah-SHOO-toe" (Elemental)
A "true" Sojïna and often has one form the pure mana forms into. Lots of color variations because of the many kinds of magic, but palettes within elements are limited. Forms will also vary wildly, but because they are made of magic.
(Fire elemental, water elemental, elemental acolytes and other festival familiars, etc.)
30551.png 14677.png 975.png 36374.png 6715.png 19323.png
—Nocturnes are the breed of choice due to their mimicking nature.

Wildclaw = Ätoenoy "ATE-oh-en-OY" (Jersey Devil)
A Sojätoy that manifests into a bipedal, four limbed form with a pair of wings, large heads and eyes, colored sclera, and hooved feet. Usually have black fur, with brown and white versions being relatively rare. Females have two variants: a queen with a large pair of ears, tail, and vestigial wings and a worker that does not have these traits and with larger wings. Males have the largest wings and are the only members capable of flight.
(No flight rising examples)
—Wildclaws are the breed of choice due to their society of "might makes right" and love of decor.

Coatl = Ätobokï "ATE-oh-BOW-key" (Altbeg)
A Sojätoy that manifests into a bipedal, four limbed form with a pair of feathered wings, small paws for feet, large heads and eyes, white sclera, small spines, and a thick tail. Covered in a thin layer of feathers in various colors (commonly a shade of blue), markings on the cheeks, belly, under the tail, and the entirety of the wings are all the same color and are usually scaled from white to black. Spines may be completely absent, rounded, or sharp and have colors of their own. They have some hair on their head.
(No flight rising examples)
—Coatls are the breed of choice due to their easygoing nature and feathers.

Gaoler = Kal Influenced
A lifeform that has had its form influenced directly by Kal, inheriting some of its traits in the afterlife. These beings exist as only parts of their former selves, with a good portion taking on the traits of the nightmare spirit. Roughly equivalent to demons. Only one of these nightmare spirits exists per universe, this one is named Kal.
(No examples, forms vary)
—Gaolers are the breed of choice due to their dislike of comforts in life and to counter the dönaw.

Banescale = Dönaw "DUR-gnaw" (Dream Spirit)
A lifeform given a new form for it to inhabit after death to continue living. Not exactly the equivalent of an angel, but an in-between of a ghost and an angel. Forms vary wildly between species.
(No examples, forms vary)
—Banescales are the breed of choice due to their lore of rebirth and to counter the Kal influenced.

Veilspun = Snuka Kïnad "SNU-ka KEY-nahd" (Lost Spirit)
The remains of a lifeform after its sol (soul) disappears, leaving behind the snuka (spirit). A "true" ghost-like apparition. These spirits are never retrieved by Pal (god of death) or are actively avoiding Him, usually trying to fulfill a task they were not able to while they were alive.
(No examples, forms vary)
—Veilspun are the breed of choice due to their mysterious nature.
