Sharpscrap

Though he was not born in the Plague flight, Sharpscrap has always been a survivor.

Of course, he had the usual curiosity and intelligence of the Arcanists. Born with a fascination for how things run, how they work and are put together. He would hunt down familiars and other beasts, cutting them apart and opening them up, seeing how they worked on the inside. Dissecting them, watching how their organ systems worked, sewing them up and replacing them with metal and clockwork. He was oblivious to all the pain he caused while doing so. All the lives he ended.

When he was a week old Sharpscrap smashed the nest of one of his fellow arcanists. He carefully peeled off the eggshells, taking the eggs apart and making notes on how it worked. How it fit together so perfectly. He dissected the hatchlings, eagerly and excitedly writing things down.
