“Why use my upbringing for bad when i can use it to heal others?”

She is the oldest in the clan, but somehow, one of the brightest and clever when it comes to solving problems and unknown illnesses, her humour and stoic nature gives her a confidence in all she does. She works diligently, and cares for everyone in the clan with the utmost care. Because of her elemental birth, she keeps her eyes hidden beneath a mask and a hood, not wishing to scare those around her within the clan. It give her a mystery that dragons do not wish to unveil, but respect. Unfortunately she was not always able to live such a peaceable life, there was a time before the Shadow Lands, and calm, unchallenged days with Dwin’ali in the Wispwillow Grove.

Formed from a thread of illness, Ivy is a dragon of the festering plague lands. As a young dragon, she was ragged with sickness, riddled with boils and scars from other illness she had only recovered from days before, then covered over again by another illness. She was strong, but resented her life of living-death. It was hard for her to watch her clan mates and friends constantly worn by a war that the Plaguebringer deemed fit for them to live through. Why was it her choice to put her children through this pain?

Ivy spent a large portion of her teenage years in the plague lands, being assaulted by all sorts of illnesses. One such illness took her eyesight from her, despite her loss of sight she became healthy again, resenting the Plaguebringer further for the damage she had done to her. This time, instead of persisting with the threat of illness, Ivy fled her clan. She was hurt that she could not take some of her clan mates with her, but she had to leave. Maybe she could return to help them be free of the festering plague one day.

Despite being weakened, ill and disorientated by her inability to see, she made her way to the lands of the Arcanist. Whether by his divine grace, or by pure luck, she stumbled upon a small clan, new to the lands of the Arcane. She hid her face and scars as much as she dared, and endeavoured to befriend them. Dealing with her blindness was probably the hardest challenge she had yet to face, but those dragons which she found, supported her and taught her ways to deal with the impediment.

After a time, where she was working through her inability to see, she eventually wished to be a help to those around her. Now being of the plague lands, she had a certain immunity to a great number of natural diseases outside of the plague lands, plus the many immunities she had developed from those made by the plague bringer herself. She began to use her blood and a mixture of herbs and elements to form vaccinations and medicine to many diseases that afflicted the Dwin’ali and other nearby clans over time. She was soon regarded with great respect by all who knew of her, and dragons came from other nearby clans regularly to be healed for a small fee. Through this trade, Ivy began to care for a menagerie of kittens and cats, appreciating their soft, warm and purring presence as she worked.

The Arcanist became impressed with Ivy’s knowledge and eagerness to assist those who were ill, taking pity on those who cannot overcome illness and injury, and bringing them to health so they can go on to greater things. He came to her in a dream one night and blessed her with the ability to see ahead in the lives of those she had come to care for. This aided her greatly in her knowledge of disease, but also brought sadness onto her heart, for she knew when those around her would pass away or even be exalted.

Quite some time passed, and the clan decided to move to the lands of the Shadowbinder for the overall health and wellbeing of the clan. Ivy followed with them, her loyalty to these dragons borne from love and care of each other. Today she now spends her time preparing remedies for common diseases, salves for injuries and sits with her many cats in the gloomy, low-lit clearings of the Wispwillow Grove. She is well known and respected as an elder within the clan, and loved by all who live there.
