She hatched alone from deep within the Blacksand Annex, her parents both unknown and lost to time. Ixchel grew up alone, the only thing keeping her safe being her skill at airborne fighting. She always wins battles when she has the high ground.

Eventually she did meet a dragon she could trust, a fellow orphaned Banescale named Itzamna. The two looked out for each other in the wilds, Ixchel would fight off foes and Itzamna would use his knowledge of language to barter with merchant dragons in exchange for food and resources. They would eventually become mates, bonding over their shared lonely histories. Ixchel's harsh, angry personality is somewhat calmed by Itzamna's coldness. He has a sense of melancholy about him whilst she is all fire, and somehow that works for them.

Eventually they would join the Focal Company after Titania sent her scout, Oroshi, to venture out and find some adequate Banescales for the clan to use. Ixchel offered her services as a ranger and proved excellent at the job due to her experience at attacking other dragons from the air. These days she can be found patrolling the clan's territories from the sky, swooping in on any trespassers and burning them to a crisp with her Arcane-infused magical fire.

She doubts she'll ever really be happy, but at least her life is peaceful now. As peaceful as it could ever be.
