Born of the eighth nest of Celeste, the Mother of All.

Strongest of the clutch, Hitomi almost crushed her siblings still in their eggs in a rush of primal dominance when she hatched, her eyes red with fury. She was immediately calmed down by her parents who protected the two other lustrous eggs still incubating, and learned to control her instincts.
A strong and ferocious spirit still inhabits her, making her quite intimidating for those who dare speak to her. Killing dragons wouldn't even frighten her. She is very blunt with her words, like an old rusted battle-ax, and does not speak much.

Soon after she hatched, Hitomi took pleasure in hunting small animals, mice, and rabbits at first. As she grew she learned to stalk larger prey, and became a respected member in the hunter's group of her village. Like her father, Hitomi is a remarkable hunter, able to stalk her prey without being seen nor heard. With a slap of her tail she can stun even the sturdiest wildebeest, and her claws are sharp enough to kill them with ease.
She is not really known for her brightness or friendliness, but her strength is unlike others, and she proved it many, many times during her hunts. Tales speak of her taking down a local Hydra hiding in the depths of a deep cave just for the thrill of the hunt.

One day her skills were not required anymore, the clan deciding to stop their meat trades with the other clans.
"What a shame..." the brown Ridgeback sighed in her breath, deciding to leave the place that saw her hatch. She knew she could learn new hunting techniques in the other's territories, as well as new prey to stalk and kill.
She left the clan without a goodbye, and followed her own path, alone.



She was hunting on a bright sunny day when the sound of something pierced her ears. A shriek sounded from within the undergrowth under her. A hatchling. She knew what would happen to the young dragon if she took him back to the clan alone. He would get killed. A sigh escaped her mouth as she cradled him back to the lair. His name is Spine.
