Biography
In his youth, Lorefrost was an energetic explorer who made his way all over Sornieth, just to see and experience and learn everything there was to see, and experience, and learn.
He's extremely hard of hearing after multiple exposures to super-high volume events (an explosion in the Shifting Expanse, a volcanic eruption in the Ashfall Wastes, and the eardrum-shattering roar of a corrupted Emperor).
You'll find him most days reading book after book in the library, peacefully unaware of Astraeus and Tiresias' constant arguing.
Hera and Opaline helped develop a hearing aid for him, but he prefers the peace of his deafness, and reserves the hearing aid for times of most need (a meeting, someone seeking council, a clan holiday get-together, etc). He is not very good at lip-reading, and not very adept at sign language, since his own paws aren't dexterous enough for signing much.
Archimedes can be found perched in his antlers, and whenever needed, will translate for other people to Lorefrost by pecking out sentences in Morse code on the surface of his antlers. Archimedes gets tired of pecking pretty quickly, so if the conversation goes on, he will summarize everything you say--sometimes a little too much, resulting in some truly hilarious misunderstandings. When Lorefrost replies, because he can't hear himself, he's often much louder than he intends to be.
He generally keeps to himself, but when not in the library or wandering on his own, he likes to spend time with Redstorm, or tells stories (sometimes about his youth, sometimes entirely made up) to the clan's hatchlings.
