Biography
A Banescale hailing from the Ancient times, Anastasis was cursed with resurrective immortality after a dispute with a self-proclaimed 'hexer'. Though she'd dismissed his words as delusional ravings, little did the then-young Banescale know that even the wildest lies tended to have a grain of truth.
During the war between Ice and Fire that led to the Gaolers wiping out almost all of the Banescales, she fled to the Scarred Wasteland to avoid being frozen by the living storm. There, she encountered something nastier: a primal strain of the Bone Plague, the cruder predecessor to what would eventually become the Sadon strain. Unrefined and far more lethal than the modern strain, it ravaged her body mercilessly, and Anasatsis quickly succumbed.
(Un)fortunately for her, instead of simply dying like most luckless subjects, her curse of resurrective immortality protected her from death, instead bringing her back time and time again. Death (however temporary) quickly proved to be her only reprieve from the disease that gnawed at her bones and stripped her flesh, whittling away at her life-force until she eventually wasted away and died - at least, until the cycle inevitably started again. Over millennia, repeated deaths and resurrections have warped her coloration and elemental alignment from Fire to Plague, and she has grown jaded and resigned to her fate.

Kill me? I'd like to see you try
You take my life, I fail to die
The fires fade, now close your eyes
And sing my undead lullaby
The night will fall and swallow light
To fill my dark hollow inside
And yet my death is all but nigh
Sing my undead lullaby
I sing my undead lullaby
So far from life, yet cannot die
This is my undead lullaby
My cursed undead lullaby
Sent to my grave, again I rise
To sing my undead lullaby
You take my life, I fail to die
The fires fade, now close your eyes
And sing my undead lullaby
The night will fall and swallow light
To fill my dark hollow inside
And yet my death is all but nigh
Sing my undead lullaby
I sing my undead lullaby
So far from life, yet cannot die
This is my undead lullaby
My cursed undead lullaby
Sent to my grave, again I rise
To sing my undead lullaby
