Biography

Storing my Fodderlocke rules for now.

Rules
Each morning, exalt anyone with daily bonuses - they were claimed by Gladekeeper in the night. Friendship and loyalty cannot save you.

Then roll 2d6.
  1. -
  2. A coup! Exalt your leader. They have been dramatically betrayed by the others a la the ides of march. Determine a new leader from the remaining dragons. The highest level dragon will be it. If there is a tie, the oldest tied dragon shall be the leader. Level the tied dragon one level to make it better than its peers.
  3. Big Mistake. Two dragons strayed into enemy territory on a hunting trip. Roll a d20 for both of them. If you roll higher than their level, exalt.
  4. Best friends. Pick two dragons at random. They are now best friends and will do things together when possible (go on missions, have romances, make mistakes). If one were to be exalted, the best friend takes their place to protect them and is exalted instead.
  5. A Duel. There has been a disagreement. Take two random not-leader dragons into the coli and exalt whoever faints first.
  6. There’s a romance afoot. Pick two of your ready to breed dragons at random if you have any. Put them on a nest. The babies will join your crime organization when they hatch. Raise them to L5 when they come of age. If the parents would be exalted while they’re on the nest, wait until their nest hatches and Then exalt them. If nobody is ready to breed, grab a random hatchie off the AH. A secret forbidden child or sibling has been uncovered.
  7. Mission time! Pick two dragons at random. They have to go on a quest now. Raise both of them a level. Roll a d10 for each. If it’s higher than their level, exalt them as they were lost in the mission.
  8. New Recruits! Grab two adults from the AH and raise them to L6.
  9. Watch and learn. Take your leader and your lowest level dragon into the coli until the latter gains a level.
  10. Take a gamble. The two highest-level non-leader dragons undergo a risky operation. Flip a coin. If heads, they both survive and gain a level from the daring endeavor. If tails, put them with your trainer and let the mobs decide. Dragon who faints first gets exalted.
  11. Long Live the King! One of the members swears an oath of loyalty to the current leader. If the leader were to be exalted, this member protects them and is exalted in their stead. That, or the leader leaves with the oathmaker to start a new gang. Whatever makes more sense story-wise.
  12. Under Attack! A neighbouring power is launching an assault. Roll a d12 for every dragon in order of level. If you get higher than their level, exalt. Once half of the dragons have passed, the raiders have been rebuffed and you can stop. Raise all survivors by one level.

Check whether anyone has surpassed the leader. If so, exalt the old leader and dress the new one in fancy clothes.

Optional traits - If a dragon has survived enough random events to start gaining a character assign one of these traits. Put the trait in their broadcast.
  • Punches above their weight. When vying for leadership this dragon counts as one level higher than their current level. If this results in a draw, resolve via duel instead of age.
  • Calm and considered. This dragon can not be selected to take part in a duel and will back down peacefully if challenged for leadership.
  • Natural mentor. If selected for a mission, this dragon will take the lowest level dragon with them (you decide whether this takes precedence over best friends). Stay in the coli until the mentor has gained a level, and when you roll to see if a member is lost use the mentor's level as the DC.
  • Keeps their friends close. This dragon's level counts as one level higher than their current level as long as they have a friend who is at least the same level as them. If they win leadership due to this extra level, they rule in coalition with their highest-level friend. (check if this actually works)

Exalting Tor to the service of the Gladekeeper will remove them from your lair forever. They will leave behind a small sum of riches that they have accumulated. This action is irreversible.
