Which was a descriptor that held true up until approximately two years ago, because it turns out he's the lucky winner of the "downloading sketchy things from sketchy corners of the internet will actually screw you over big time" award!

Okay, so screwing him over isn't exactly true. But, really, it's been two years and he still has no idea how else to describe the experience of meeting five artificial intelligences, one amalgamation of long-defunct code, and a literal Employer (no, seriously, you're telling him they actually exist?!) all because he decided to go play a decades-old game in VR.

Okay, okay, screwing him over is definitely the wrong description. He wouldn’t trade his friends for the world, even if the initial meeting was, er, actually terrible on all fronts, in fact.

But you’ve got to admit, it’s weird, okay!? Not even— weird, that doesn’t capture even a fraction of it. Mindboggling. Completely insane. Yeah, let’s go with completely insane. It was worth it, but it was completely insane. You get him, right? You get him.
