Biography
Oru -Seamstress, smith
The clan seamstress, often crafting fine furs and stoles for her sister Ona. She designed and sewed the clan flag. Much warmer than her sister Ona. I guess you could call her Lucille II. Longtime mate of Tapi.
Tapi and Oru were mated for several months, before an amicable split. The two remained good friends, though a little distance formed when Oru's nephew Youko came to visit the clan. On January 8th, 2015, Oru found Tapi gravely injured and unconscious in the stream a little ways down the mountain. Despite massive blood loss he clung to life, in most part due to the warm waters of the spring. With the help of Eun, who came upon them while making his way back from scavenging, they were able to transport him back to the tower.
Tapi was brought to Sun for treatment. She bandaged him and gave him a sleeping draught to ease his pain. As Tapi's closest friend, Oru was consulted as to the next course of action. Sun could not offer further help and the Eyrie had no magic-using healers. Traveling down the mountain and into the nearest trading post or marketplace would take to long with no sure guarantee of help.
Oru had only one option before her. To save Tapi's life, he would need to be taken to the Windsinger himself. This would mean he could never visit his friends and family of the Eyrie, as he would be in the god's service for the rest of eternity.
On a sling fashioned of bamboo poles and cloth, Shii and Tez carried Tapi between them. The training team knew the way to the Cloudsong and the Windsinger's lair well. They were accompanied by Miri and Oru, who used their magic to bolster and lighten the load. Greeted by the god's entourage, they left Tapi in exaltation.
Upon their return to the Eyrie, they found the clan not in morbid peace but chaotic disarray. The clan had turned to the familiars to ask if the Beastclans had anything to do with Tapi's mauling, and upon questioning, Pax's harpy had lashed out and injured her master. With the harpy having led immediately, the clan was now sure in their suspicions: it had been acting as a spy for the wild flocks that inhabited the mountain, the same enemies which had attacked Tapi. Scraps of an old note found in the harpy's nest reinforced this belief.
The facts were clear: the mountain was at war.
In the hustle and bustle following this discovery, Youko's disappearance went unnoticed for several hours. Another note was found at his sleep-spot. It read that having spent so much time at the Eyrie, and after witnessing Oru's grief, it was time for him to move on in his travels. He trailed the party to the Cloudsong, and joined Tapi in exaltation, assuring Oru that he would look after the injured dragon and comfort him in his new home.
Devastated by a second loss, Oru retreated into the depths of the tower. She donned a mask in mourning.
Mistral Jamboree 2015- Jaikr arrives. Oru, much to the unease of the clan, takes up with him and immediately tends a nest.
Amethyst and Aquamarine, for Tapi.
