Long ago, he had been an artwork of a rare perfection. Sun rays used to softly skim his hide of polished stone and to make his luxurious coating shimmer, as the jewel he was.
But soon conflict happened - pikes and claws raging, blood spilled and screamed howled, and inestimable treasures were broken an lost.
He layed on the devasted floor for a long time, shattered and broken, until a pearly spiraling body veined of stone discovered him in the ruins, and took him back with her.

Luta never uses magic on her work and doesn't even allow it next to her creations. She made an exception once - just for this time. With the help of Alec and Arzly, Luta saved Jovial from the depth of the Cliff Ruins and restored him - and thus, she breathed life into the cold body of stone. Luta used her one-time gift for him - and it was pure instinct, from the moment she saw the broken statue on the ground.

Jovial lives in the clan since then, as a repairer craftsdragon, and stays with Luta as much as he can. He's a cheerful fellow, eager to help, but sometimes a bit clueless about being alive.
We may have to remind him to eat fromtime to time.

Luta dit not only save him, she breathed life in him. There will always be a part of her in him, and Jovial cherished it as the spark of life, love and hope that animates him. He's very devoted to her and loves to take admire beautiful landscapes and sights to enjoy the beauty of the world together.
