Family
Pomelo's parents are Jungle and Elodea, two crucial members of the clan. He was raised to be passionate about animals and plants from the beginning, and spent his days exploring his father's laboratory. He grew up along with three siblings - Brightglade, Copernicium, and Citrine. While Jungle and Elodea tried to engage all of their kids in their ventures, Brightglade and Pomelo were the most passionate about the subject, and thus got more attention than Copernicium and Citrine. The solitary Citrine was content to be alone, and Copernicium studied under Boson briefly before leaving the clan, but Pomelo and his other sister stayed closeby to their parents. The two became inseparable, and never did anything without the other one. The attention went to Pomelo's head and he became slightly arrogant. He has 7 kids with his mate Sylvana.

Occupation
After spending so much time in his dad's lab, he became extremely interested in plants. Another young hatchling, Sylvana, would take him to the clan's gardens and the two would study the varied plant life growing there. He dedicated his time to learning everything he could about plants, and eventually became apprenticed to his father Elodea. Sylvana became the head druid and appointed onto the newly forming Circle of Druids, where he threw himself completely into his profession.

Backstory
The glowing green egg opened up like the bud of a flower to reveal a pink-and-yellow dragon in the shades of a grapefruit. His wings were a shimmering mossy green color, and dark green lines covered him like a skeleton. Pomelo grew up constantly being doted on by his parents. He absorbed every compliment that came his way and then some. When he grew older, he spent more and more time with Sylvana, a young guardian with startling druidic talent. When he eventually joined the Circle of druids, his interest in plants grew even more, and he began melding the science that his father practiced with the druidic magic that Sylvana and many other young acolytes on the Circle of Druids demonstrated. Eventually, he had seven kids with Sylvana.

Personality
Pomelo is friendly but pompous. He's bright and talented, and he knows it, and so he greets every situation with an insufferable arrogance. However, his inflated ego doesn't interfere with his compassionate nature. Pomelo is silly, and oftentimes the blatant compliments he gives himself are purely born out of a joke. He's also ever-curious, and always wants to learn more. He can sometimes wear on his clanmates, as he constantly pesters them for information and brags incessantly. His biggest fear is not knowing something.

Relationships
Pomelo's best friend is in his sister Brightglade. The two squabble constantly, but always in a friendly way. Citrine barely talks to him, and holds a quiet disdain for his arrogance. Jodugar doesn't like him either for the same reason. He believes that Nebula, Zira and Jodugar are threats to the clan and that they shouldn't have been allowed in. Zira is another enemy of his, mainly because he never trusts her and is constantly meddling in her job. Kofu and Mith adore him, however, and think of him as a grandchild. He's friends with most of the Circle of Diplomats, especially Athena, whom he coaches through her anxiety. Eleanora has a major crush on him.

Familiar
Florin is an experiment gone wrong. One day, Brightglade returned from a trip with a fascinating green moth she'd found. However, she made the mistake of leaving him unattended around Pomelo and Elodea, and he accidentally crashed directly into their latest experiment - a beaker of mushroom spores. Though often thought to be part foliage, Florin is actually a normal moth with a brown fungi growing on him. Pomelo and Elodea still aren't sure if the fungi is parasitic, or if they have a symbiotic relationship. Either way, Pomelo never goes anywhere without his familiar now.
