Terra began her existence as the pet project of Pinchbeck, the Clan's finest metallurgist. Struck by divine inspiration, Pinchbeck began work on his masterpiece, shaping copper and titanium into the form of a startlingly lifelike dragon, sacred runes inscribed along her sides in intricate gold inlay. Pinchbeck had intended for his work to honor the Earthshaker; as he added the finishing touch- a flawless pair of golden yellow topaz gemstones, set into the eyes- it became evident that he had succeeded beyond his wildest expectations.

The runes along Terra's sides began to hum with elemental power, and Pinchbeck was startled to find that her metallic scales (still warm to the touch, as though they had never quite cooled from the heat of the forge), rose and fell with the first breath of this vessel he had unwittingly crafted.

With age, Terra's wings have changed hue due to verdigris; she has politely, but firmly declined Pinchbeck's repeated offers to polish them for her, remarking that she "preferred to age gracefully."
