Poor poor Zemnis. He used to be a sweet little light dragon, pure of soul and free of darkness. But then he took an odd job to support his family: kill a dragon who had stolen half of the queen's treasure hoard. Zemnis didn't want to kill, but he needed to help his family, who was starving due to a flood which wiped away their crop for the year. And the dragon he had to kill was a thief, so perhaps it was a good thing that he was bringing a criminal to justice.
But in fact the criminal had only stolen to support her family, and so Zemnis could not bring himself to end her life. And so he went back home with a weary heart, to find his family murdered.
Soon later, he went back to the criminal's hideout and killed her in cold blood. He had become an evil version of himself. Zemnis became the most feared bounty hunter in Eastern Sornieth. But he still longed for a family. And so now, here he is, in the Lair of Lost Luminlings, with a family at last.
