Many decades ago, a king succumbed to starvation. Decades later, tomb raiders would find his bones lying upon the hoards of wealth he had gathered prior to his demise; assuming it to be nothing more than an archaic burial ritual, they plundered the dead king's coffers, discarded the few remains, and fled the ruins of the fallen kingdom. But among the hoards of treasure the raiders had taken, one object had managed to capture their envy: a large golden crown with deep violet cabochons encased around its surface, found sitting atop the king's skull in unusually pristine condition. |

The raiders would bicker and argue over the crown until one of the thieves - growing tired of the fighting and wanting it for herself - would steal the crown and rest it atop her head, where it would then slide down and clutch around her neck. What happened to the raiders after that day remains uncertain. But what is certain is that the crown would be found among their bodies and taken back their clan, where it would be passed down from leader to leader until this clan, too, fell into ruin. | .... |

The two highest-level dragons undergo a risky operation. Flip a coin. If heads, they both survive and gain a level from the daring endeavour. If tails, put them with your trainer and let the mobs decide: the dragon who faints first gets exalted.
Since everyone except the leader is the same level, the second dragon will be chosen at random... It's a heads, so is now level 9 and is now level 7. 8: Second Chance wrote:
Put an apparel item of choice on one random dragon to mark as given a second chance. If they are ever to be exalted, instead remove the apparel. They have managed to scrape by.
