Nilakkari came to the clan as a hatchling. The clan knew they would eventually need a large and strong dragon to protect the lair. Although he was quiet and fairly reserved as a hatchling, Nilakkari bonded quickly with his familiar, Jasmine. Nilakkari has always had a soft spot of animals and familiars especially. Nilakkari has since become quite social and gets along well with the clan. He often chats with the mothers in the pod. When Rosabelle joined the clan, Nilakkari was quick to look after her and took the parental position in her life. Nilakkari is also nicknamed "Nilly" by some of the younger clan members who enjoy playing with him whenever he is not on duty protecting the clan. Nilakkari is very doting and takes it upon himself to find familiars for each new clan member, (usually the hatchlings). Nilakkari has a special bond with Astraea as they arrived at the clan around the same time. They don't hang out all that often, but they can be seen on quiet nights discussing what's going on in each of their lives. Nilakkari had a bit of a crush on Astraea but had convinced himself she is just a friend and not a potential mate. However, when Niaz and Aziza showed up at the clan to add to the security team, Astraea thought it would finally be safe to express her feelings as Nilakkari had less of a time-consuming job.
