Thestral, as one of the first Banescales of the clan, is quite respected. Moreover, he is not as hostile as others of his kind and agrees to share everything he knows, being a huge help for historians.
However, his main duty is guarding. With loyal and righteous heart, Thestral is best suited for watching over the clan and tracking intruders. Being strict to himself and honing his martial skills daily, he sees protecting as his calling. Thestral soars around the Observatory, patrolling, and even being helpful and understanding, he is ready to kill without hesitation if needed.
Other dragons tend to notice him flying past under both sun and moon, and no one knows if he actually sleeps. The truth is, Thestral indeed prefers to stay awake, anxious that something might happen while he is asleep, and is only dozing off when his body no longer obeys him. Because of this he endures terrible headaches and is overly alert all the time.
