Getty regrets ever saying this. As is the case with many things that happened in her youth, she physically winces when reminded that "Get Up" is her full name, especially since it's a reminder that she, for the longest time, stubbornly refused to join an order. Her superiors did not take kindly to this, and she was eventually cast out of the Southern Icefields for refusing to take up the duty of an Ice-born Gaoler. If she would not learn any other way, she would learn from tough love...And she did.

After a few years of traveling, Getty settled in Dragonhome and began introducing herself by her current name. She lived in solitude, outside of her breed's society and away from her past woes. For a time, this was her definition of comfort.

Her past, however, would catch up eventually.

Seeking to restore the gaol he once maintained, a Gaoler named Solace found Getty while traveling with his children, Minuet and Rondo. He offered Getty a chance to earn a name for herself and take up life as a proper Gaoler. Though initially hesitant, the scorn of her peers echoed through Getty's mind. Finally, she thought, she had a second chance.

Swallowing her pride, Getty joined the keeper order, and traveled with Solace to the Tower of Shade. Upon arrival, Getty suggested that a new name be given to the tower: The Duskbreak Spire. When her suggestion was accepted by her peers, Getty took up her current post.

She cannot tell if she misses being a wanderer, but for now, Getty is home.
