BIOGRAPHY The night he was born, his parents witnessed a bad star in the sky. It cast a reflection down the lair’s opening and rippled under the currents like an observing eye of fate, looking over him. Despite that, Aquamarine didn’t consider his life to be one of misfortune. It was eventful, but it didn’t stir up any strong emotion within him. Reading through it was just like reading through a laconic summary at the back of a biography. Young Master Aquamarine was destined to become an oracle. He was fed hundreds of books about divination and astrology ever since he was born. His parents’ wish was for him to serve alongside the Tidelord and nothing more. That had been what hatchlings like him were meant to be in such a crowded clan. Soon enough, it was time for Aquamarine to know where his life should head. As a hatchling, the young pearlcatcher would find himself playing in the kelp forest near his lair. He would swim among the oceanic flora and splash bubbles towards whimsical creatures approaching him with curious looks. He would hang out with his friends whenever he successfully sneaked out. The forest was rich, buzzing with life and glowing underneath the soft sunbeam. And yet there were dragons cruel enough to destroy it. Or maybe he just didn’t understand. He was still too young to completely grasp the affairs of adults. When a foreign clan occupied the kelp forest regions, causing the water to drain, the plants to rot, and the critters to perish, all he knew was that he must follow his parents, say goodbye to what was once his lair, and vow to never come back. Adolescence came along with a stream of endless evacuations. The clan known as Blood Vipers were vicious, but they weren’t completely undefeatable. From time to time, the Youngun’s clan would win. On those scattered occasions, his family would move back, just to move away weeks later during a counterstrike. But these trips were enough for him to witness what war and conflict had done to his beloved homeland. As soon as he became an adult, Aquamarine enrolled himself in the clan’s military camp under a pseudonym. He didn’t want to become an oracle. He didn’t want to serve the Tidelord’s side if it meant leaving his clan to the mercy of those ruthless invaders. He wanted to lead the battle and take back what had been lost. As Aquamarine was training, he accumulated a hefty collection of magic scriptures donated to the army by the surrounding Water clans, per his request. They were all supporting him. There was no way he would lose. Admiral Aquamarine rose through the ranks at an impressive speed. Soon enough, he was offered the position of chief admiral to replace the current general. He had but one request: all his information had to be well-kept. Until the border was at peace, he didn’t want any glory and fame. The Blazing Butterfly, Flamewing, seemed to have utilized this strategy well. In that case, Aquamarine wanted to be their greatest nightmare. His first campaigns were a roaring success. The Dreamfalls managed to surround and take back several important regions. Soon enough, the enemy troops were pushed back behind the border. But Admiral Aquamarine didn’t want to stop there. He wanted what had happened to his hometown, happen to the Blood Vipers’. He wanted to swallow those magma-filled, lifeless, sorry excuses of a land. He wanted to bring back the head of the enemy general. Thus, he asked one of the Water lairs at the battlefront to give up its territory and lure the enemies in. Once they thought they had occupied the lair, he ordered his troops to surround them, forcing their general out of the shadow. Ah, the great General Flamewing. With butterfly patterns on his wings like eyes staring at justice, and billowing red cape, burning under the setting sun. This must be the first and last time someone outside of his clan had managed to look at him directly. There wasn’t fear in his eyes, but Admiral Aquamarine sympathized with him. After all, he was still a formidable foe, even when that talent was misguided. With the death of the general, Admiral Aquamarine pushed forward, leading his troops deep into the Fire flight’s domain. The victory was fueling him. He could hear his comrade’s voice behind his back, urging him to expand their influence. Blue flags were raised high. Words about him were spread. He felt unstoppable. Admiral Aquamarine won a few more battles before the Blood Vipers made a comeback. It was like their deceased general had been revived. Their forces were strong and vicious. His spells were no match for their ability to cause carnage. During a night lit up by fire and magma, Aquamarine found himself riding into the front line as hundreds of weapons closed in on him. The next thing he heard was a female dragon’s voice. “Kill the enemy leader! Avenge the lieutenant!” Admiral Aquamarine died in battle. His death wasn’t quick, but the upside of it was the fact that he could witness Flamewing’s true identity. The general’s biography ended here. | x |

“The Shroudsea Lord is, first and foremost, a great mage.
His knowledge of magic is uncontested - wisdom collected from various Water clans. However, he could be described as unapproachable. He is often seen staring into the distance, not moving, not responding to anyone. Is he comfortable in his skin? Does he resent this life he's leading? Does he want to address the imprints of history that his fellow Masters are carrying? But the students are understanding. Everyone's life has its own burden. Because even with one dragon holding a grudge, things will go south very quickly.
