Give a warm welcome to FireOpal, who joined the clan on the morning of Feburary 15th around 9:50 am, who is the clan's top Mechanic an other Fire Representative! :)

When she came, she had been named by her number from the previous owner, but I/Cascade re-named her after asking for help from my significant other, and he suggested her lovely name because she reminded him of the vibrant colors of fire opals :) shout-out to FourtunaMagica! It is also a perfect fit for her because of her Flight, and the bright red fire-y like colors on her body and now FireOpal dons her name with pride :D

Although she was the last dragon in a batch of 13 to be hatched, and got stuck being the unlucky number, today is her lucky day for now she has found her home :) Her wings, being the beautiful opal dusted color they are, are blessed by Flameforger, a sign that dragons recognize can only come from the Gods. Though she is unlucky 13, she feels as though the mother of the Fire Flight has smiled upon her and wiped her slate clean, and FireOpal lives to make her deity proud in her new home :D
She arrived when she was fully grown and from a player who was selling their dragons, so not much is known about her past or previous family.. It was the day after Valentine's when she joined the clan, and she was happy to be welcomed in to such a wonderful, loving, helpful, happy community of such amazing dragons. Since it was so near to the holiday that celebrated love, though, she had a longing in her heart to finally find love for herself. As as she got to know the dragons however, she saw that there were many couples and even more spouses and the number of single dragons was very low, and not many were males.... There was another Imperial when she arrived, but he had his eyes set on a quiet Tundra gal in the Hibernal Den, and she could tell the Tundra had eyes for him too, so FireOpal didn't allow her heart to go there and get involved or interfere, even if the Imp was rather handsome... Instead, the owner of the nursery, Meiriona, saw the longing in FireOpal's heart, and sympathized with her, for it was a longing she had felt in her own heart for the longest time until her own husband had shown up. So when Me-rie's own children hatched and one turned out to be a boy, the Nocturne said if all went well and he liked this Imp, that he could be hers. FireOpal was overjoyed at that, but didn't want to push anything, and kept quiet watch as Me-rie's son grew and whether or not he had taken to her or not. (in fact, he had, and aside from his parents, since FireOpal was still in the same tab/room at the time, she was the first dragon he had ever set his eyes on and he thought she was the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen in his first few seconds of being alive).. As time went on and he found his way through the clan and studied at Eirgore's school, he finally came forward and told this lovely Imp how he felt about her and how he'd felt since the moment he'd laid eyes on her. Her heart soared, and she felt happy to be valued, and after that, they pursued a relationship and after some time, are now both happily married & enjoying wedded bliss with some children of their own :)
A time after being married, FireOpal began to feel that she wanted to have some children and to see what being a mother was like, and Edryd was starting to feel the same. He had been raised around children since his parents helped run the nursery, not to mention being raised alongside his own siblings, so he knew that he was good with kids and would be one of the best for the role of parenthood. With both of them being in agreement, they decided to welcome in 4 wonderful children. After a swell time of raising their own bouncing baby dergs, they all grew up & went on their own life paths, 3 of which went to be Exalted and 1 who is serving in another clan :) FireOpal couldn't be happier for the fate of her children, and now lives out her days happily, with her heart being full :)

FireOpal is the clan's Mechanic! When she arrived, she wasn't sure where she fit in at first, but after some time of trying her claw (hand) at different things, she believes she truly found her calling tinkering around with items and fixing them for the dragons of the SkyWings clan :) Shortly before Sunset left, the clan's previous Mechanic, since he noticed she had a talent for this industry, he took her to his workbench and taught her everything he knew before he was Exalted :) Now, she runs his workshop and has taken over his workbench, and uses his tools and has added some of her own and calls the work room her own, fixing appliances big and small for the dragons of the place where she now calls home, feeling as though with her hard work the Flameforger smiles down on her :) She has also taken up teaching children in the clan who are interested in this topic, and when she's not tinkering around, she helps lend a claw (hand) at Erigore's school & teaching them the mechanics of things :D
