Friends call him Zaz

A being originally among the ranks of the divine, Zadkiel was frustrated at the unbalanced contracts he saw forged between other beings and those of the dark planes. He watched soul after soul traded for cruelly twisted versions of their wishes....
He and his brothers tried so hard to change it...
But he was tricked like so many before him...and the energies of the dark plane turned upon him, changed him.
He was mocked and unable to return home... his brothers in arms no longer recognized him....
...but he still had his mission...he would keep trying to protect those souls... help them secure fair contracts....
...He had a few success, but most of the dark plane's residents were...violently opposed to his ideals.
After more than a few mishaps, he was on the brink of...something very bad. Something very permanent.
Around that time he met Baal, who helped him seemingly on a whim.
Disaster averted and questionable new ally, he was finally starting to make some progress, some real progress but-
-he and Baal were suddenly torn from their realm, forged into new forms, and dropped into a new world-
They weren't even given an explanation, their summoner was nowhere to be found and they found themselves bound by nothing other than their new forms...no contract at all....
....and Baal destroyed the summoning circle in a rage as soon as they arrived....

....he's still not sure if it was Baal or himself being summoned, and really there's no way to tell now...

...but what are they supposed to do in this world called Sornieth?



-A bit naive
-He works hard towards his goals and rarely stops until a project is complete.
-Tries to see the good in situations and others, even if it looks bleak.
-He has a very strong moral compass.
-Will work towards changing anything he sees as unfair, regardless of who it's unfair for.
-He's made a few 'deals' of his own...
-He thinks of Baal as a 'friend' and trusts him, but isn't 100% at ease around him. (He probably has a contract with him, but quickly changes the subject if he's asked about it.)
-His inborn Light element here could be a reflection of his original nature.....?

-He frequently turns up in unexpected places...
-Still easier to find than Baal. ...
-Always knows exactly where Baal is.....(is this part of your contract...?)
