Tidelord's Spark

The Obelisks of the clan insisted that more proactive protection was needed. More... aggressive defenses. The gall of the newcomers to so boldly demand things took the older Wildclaws and Nocturnes by surprise. However, with the only glimpse of Tidelord in years having been his river diverted past Earthshaker's tomb, they felt obligated to listen to the other deity's chosen children. The Obelisks did not feel it was their place to look for trouble, merely to ready the clan for trouble finding them. And so the Mirror Pack was formed.

It was not born because none of them were deemed worthy of their deity's most primal blessing originally. Worthy members were sought out and artificially blessed with enhanced sight and sensation via vials of Water magic, carefully concocted into elemental sight potions. Much consideration was given to who would be permitted to drink of this fount, as the remaining bottled magic of the Tidelord was dwindling. No Water clans had been able to replenish their stocks no matter how deep into the Shoredeep Presage or Leviathan Trench they dove. The waters no longer glimmered and whispered with the Tidelord's prophecies in their currents.

And so the other five Mirrors gave up their birthrights to their original elements and drank from the vials, their eyes warping and twisting into something that could see beyond what normal dragons could. Stomolophus alone retained his heritage, although he was not born Primal. The sextet set out from the clan's lavish home in the Spiral Keep, with no intent to return until whatever threat the Obelisks feared was gone.

They patrol the shores of the Sea of a Thousand Currents, running through each neighboring flight's territory, looking for trouble. And devouring it. By virtue of Tidelord's absence, his wishes could be interpreted in many ways. And none could be corrected. Morphed into the Plaguebringer's children, the Pack sought ne'erdowells and problems before they could reach the Sea. And, of course, Mirrors need to eat.

Stomo is the leader of the Pack, being the only member of it truly of the Water element. He was the first chosen and the first to enter the lair, originally on his own. But a lone Mirror is an oddity, and so the Obelisks' wishes were followed until he gained five more brethren. He took the tentative company of a Maren Sorceress, Mariana, who only occasionally finds him on the shores to relay any word from the clan. Tasked with a job - to hunt those who need hunting for the safety of the clan - he felt no need for additional companionship. Stomo is the first one to engage their prey and, as the most heavily-armored, attempts to remain their enemy's focus, tanking all their hits.

He plants his Standard in a rocky outcropping above the surface of the Shoredeep Presage, the Pack's temporary lair whenever they cycle back through the area. Sometimes he remains behind, contemplative of his homeland and the dangers that may be in front of it. He simply watches the tide crash against the rocks. But he always catches up quickly to the others. Stomo uses no magic and is solely a physical fighter/tank. Though his slashes are elementally-charged, he sees no need to waste time on the magi. His familiar knows all the spells he may need.
