NAME GOES HERE

He wears his father’s colors. He carries his Mother’s curse. Peregrine could hear the madness that plagued his grandfather...what threatened to plague him. He tried to ignore it. Like ghosts of a far off past and to carry himself tall like his father, determined to please his parents with his successes. Only there was an underlying fear. Only one disease that fears him the most...that continuously haunts him; his grandfather’s insanity. The illness of the mind. It festers and burns like no other. Delusions and spirits solidify into the material plane yet only to the eyes of the ill. He knows that he too carries this hidden disease. That many grandchildren before him have succumbed to it, plagued all their lives with it; haunted, beaten, driven insane with this curse. Is it even an illness anymore? A plague passed down by generations? He can see it in his sister...the madness. When she’s with him, her mind is clear...she’s happier, kinder. But when he’s away, she’s darker, manipulative, the flames are in her eyes. Peregrine isn’t sure what will happen to her but hopes that he could save her. It seems his blood had more of his father’s blood than his mother’s. Would Mother be offended by that when he takes his trials?

He experienced the madness during his trials. His fears and infections deluded his mind. He was screaming at phantoms and attacking specters. He clawed and tore the ground and everything around him; gone so far to try to scratch his eyes and ears to block out these ghosts. Ghosts that taunt him of his darker lineage. His strength came from thinking of his father. The simple man he was...he is. Simple solutions are always the key and yet he couldn’t understand these hallucinations. To be assisted during one’s trials is a disgrace and yet Peregrine craved his father’s guidance. He tried to meditate, ignore the floating beings around him...the spirits that taunt him. No longer will he be bound by fear or this inferno of an illness that resides within him. Slowly he felt the delusions melt away, his mind clearer than ever. Slowly, he was able to hear the faint whispers of Mother; bleeding with the voice of his father. They’re guiding him.

It didn’t take long for Peregrine to gain full control of the illness within him as well as around him. He was determined to help those with darkness to insure that those aren’t driven to insanity like his grandfather. He has heard rumors of a mysterious necromancer that travels around; though many say she’s simply a spirit. He’s determined to venture out to find her and see if she’d take him as an apprentice. To allow him to travel with her; to live simply and to cure insanity. There are times he could hear his grandfather’s voice; criticizing him, like the devil on his back. He refuses to listen. His lineage is a curse and he is determined to break it as simply as possible. Thank Mother for his father and with her blessing, he will serve his father well. Hopefully, he can also save his sister.
