Main Theme: Lady of the Gorgon

______ A two faced mother. To all but a few she is Medusa the tragic nursemaid. A devout practicee of the Glademother's life giving natural remedies who's hatchling are always tragically fetial. None of her hatchlings have ever made it past their early days, she is a subject of great sympathy amongst the clan. To most she is a kind a gentle soul. Her voice has trouble carrying through the room she is so soft spoken. Always ready to offer a cup of tea and her sympathy, Medusa is entrusted with a sacred and humble duty of helping to care for the clans hatchlings, their most fatal mistake.

______ Medusa resides in the Murkwood hallow. A grim but lush cold-weather swap south of the clan's main stay. Though few chose to reside in the dark and somewhat dangerous woods, Medusa insists that her preciously cultivated herbs can thrive nowhere else in the snowy domain. And who is to deny the pleas of a grieving mother? She visits the clan a fair amount to present valuable herbs and help tend to the hatchlings in exchange for supplies and protection. She claims her magically affinity protects her well enough. She relies on charms and wards to get by.

______ The Southern Icefields are a treacherous place to survive, even more so for hatchlings. And though no one grief takes precedence over concern for hatchling mortality rates. The clan has historically had few clutch survivors, each set parents in the clan usually only having a handful of living offspring at any given time.

______ Medusa's lair does not get visitors. Her clan "lair" is a dusty little farce like the rest of her persona, adorn with depthless little niceties that most overlook for the picture of a simple mother and a simple life. Deep in the Murkwood Hallow, swallowed by cursed thorns and bottomless muck, Medusa's true lair sits atop the lay lines that run and cross underneath the core of the forest, erupting to the cesspit well of magic she calls her home.

______ For years Medusa has been snatching the youngest, the most pure and venerable members of the clan to feed to her well of power, supplying her God's and in turn her own dark magic. Hatchlings make the perfect sacrifice. A completely pure devoid of sin is the perfect vessel for her deity to corrupt. She tosses their collected bodies into the pool of green spirit contained in the well at the center of the Hallow, hidden in a chamber only she can access. In the delicate balance of the worlds magic, a good soul can be corrupted as fuel for far, far darker arcana.

______ Medusa hides her practices in that of the other witches of Murkwood Hallow. Their own work quiet mundane compared to her own. Her feign alliance with the rest of the witches clan Adnix acts as a cover and a bonus supplier of resources in exchange for very little. Capable of ending even powerful knights in mere seconds, her magic grows supremely stronger with every life she takes. Her own young prove to be quiet the easiest fodder on her growing quest to power. For the shadows there is no soul safe for her conquest.
