Origins - While Deru's history has long since fallen into mystery and rumor, one tale holds true. A nature egg was given up to mages. The parents were afraid, for the egg was small and weak. They did not want to loose it. The mages agreed to try and help, infusing the egg with druid and dryad magic and stabilizing the unborn dragon inside. The side-effects were apparent when he hatched, eyes a pale, gentle green and rimmed with flower buds. His scales had the texture of wood, and his feathers closer to leaves. His parents were beyond relieved at the strength their once dying hatchling had. Alongside both them and the mages, he learned the ways of the Viridian Labyrinth, and nature magic. With the druid and dryad magic, he excelled in it. When the mages thought he was ready, he left his home to explore and find a clan of his own.

Personality - Deru is very calm and watchful, always aware of what is around him. They have an intense soft spot for hatchlings, loving to play games and tell stories with them. He's very dilligent, but sometimes it seems to wander into plain stubborness territory. He is very easily trusting due to his good judge of character, but sometimes they miss social cues and often finds himself lost on conversations completely because he's found something else to focus on
