As all of the wastelanders, Minerva grew up in a land where nothing thrives and lives longer than necessary. What's necessary you may ask? Dying of course! To give the unreal soil some nutrient matter, dying is the most necessary thing in the wastelands. Only the strongest in brawniness, the smartest in trickiness and the ... richest in coins and gems could thrive in a land like this.
"We have to distrust each other. It is our only defense against betrayal." was her credo. Minerva was proud to present herself as one of the strongest. She joined the wastelanders when the first glimpse of hope touched her rough heart by meeting Fudgy and his cavebats. Searching for the cause of the wastelands? Why did she never even assume there was a cause? But on the other hand, she never saw anything else than one part of the border of the earth territory. A part that was shattered.

By joining a search crew for mysterious mass-hatch nests, she discovered a hatchling that was so close in color and patterns to herself, that she started to wonder about her origin even more. Was there a mother somewhere? She kind of developed the first caring traits after adopting this kid out of the blue.
Even if she never learned how to trust and internalize the good in someone, she knew this hatchling would be the hope she lost a long time ago.
