The spectral remnant of the ancient Aviar society that once lived upon Eventide Island, Nieve is a ruler who returned to curse dragonkind after they drove her people away long ago. Any dragon who sets foot upon Eventide Island is rendered incapable of flight like the Aviar who once lived there and cannot escape until they have satisfied the trials placed by Nieve to ward them off. If they cannot complete the trials, they will die.

Of late, Nieve has been surprised by the purehearted dragons who have completed her trials. Things have changed since the age of the first dragons, and a new, peace-minded clan has settled onto the cursed ground nearest to Eventide. With Thunder Hollow's newfound status as a haven for all who are weary of war, the aviar once cast out of Eventide have returned for the first time in centuries to their ancestral home. Nieve's anger has cooled, and she has taken on the role of a spectral guide, leading the descendants of her flock through their history with pride.
