» Biography

The third of Shal’anir’s wyverns, Zek’hara flies upon wings streaked with deep, rich shades of purple and exhales a shadowy fire that burns and asphyxiates all caught within. The opposite of her brother in more ways than one, Zek’hara is fierce and determined, possessing a patience that rests precariously on a hairline trigger, and, although she’s the smallest of the three wyverns, is impressive to behold regardless. She has taken after Ka’avak more than any other, with the same sorts of mannerisms and mentality as the older female, and shows an alarming lack of patience that the other will often exhibit before striking.

Having grown up away from her true parents, Zek’hara has come to see Ka’avak as her mother now. As a younger female would fall behind their mother as they grew in order to learn and develop all the natural skills they’ll need once they go out on their own, Zek’hara innately displays this exact behaviour in the way she follows Ka’avak. Wherever Ka’avak stands, Zek’hara shall be her shadow, keenly following all that she’s shown with alarming speed, and wherever Ka’avak strikes, Zek’hara retaliates. The younger wyvern has even begun to mimic the Black Dread’s signature killing blow, although with much less efficiency than the older female manages, by sinking her teeth into and ripping out the base of an enemy’s neck in a brutal display of power. She is, by all accounts, growing up very quickly to prepare to fill the boots of her predecessors, and as Ka’avak watches on with great pride and intrigue, Zek’hara is beginning to really show herself as a powerful, fully capable wyvern whose very existence is a second chance that will never be taken for granted.

Recently, new hope has begun to blossom. A chance encounter between Zek’hara and the young prince of Shal’anir, Orion, has seen a small bond between the two form. It’s only at the very beginning of its creation, and so it’s a very weak bond that’s easily disrupted by miscommunication, but that is how every bond goes at the start. In time, the two will learn and develop together as the other wyverns and paragons before them did. The time of such an order was thought to have died a long time ago, with Ka’avak and Sekk being the closest to what once was, but now there is hope again. Such an order may never again rise to the sheer power they once had, but nor will they be forgotten. In time, Zek’hara and Orion may fly through the skies together as one, living and breathing as the other does, and truly relishing in all that Shal’anir has given them. That time might not be now, nor might it be for many years to come, but it will.

That is what Zek’hara is destined for. While her brother seems to be independent of any sort of bond, and Ka’avak and her bonded are more remnants of the past than anything else, Zek’hara represents what will be. She isn’t content to just be Ka’avak’s shadow anymore, and she will make a name for herself.

APPEARANCE
Zek'hara is the smallest of the three wyverns within Shal'anir. Despite being an overbearing opponent for any dragon to come against, she's on the small side by wyvern standards. As a result, she's very quick, much quicker than her brother, and whereas he relies on his sheer size to deflect blows, Zek'hara depends on her speed to be her ally. This puts her at a disadvantage against other wyverns in particular, but to say Zek'hara is any sort of push-over would be entirely false.

HEIRACHY
Subordinate to Ka'avak and Rath'gar. Despite being lower in rank than Rath'gar by her actions, her being a female does mean she's not seen as lesser on any front, and is more equal to him than anything else. Such a standing is rare amongst even family units. Usually, if Ka'avak gives Zek'hara any sort of stern telling to, the younger will listen, but she's also just as likely to rebuke against her alpha, and there are times where there are disputes for power amongst the trio.

INHERITANCE
Zek'hara possesses no traits that speak of her bloodline at all, except perhaps the suffocating effect of her fire. While her brother is capable of primal telepathy, Zek'hara is just as standard as they come, and so it's uncertain what line of wyverns the nest was connected to. This doesn't seem to bother her, although she has a small chip in her shoulder as she struggles to prove her worth, and she instead shows promise in another aspect that sets her apart from her brother.

- Answers to Ka'avak, but occasionally revokes against her
- Breathes a devastating purple fire that burns and suffocates. Gotta decide whether the fire itself suffocates or it's the smoke that comes from the fire that does it
- Idolises Ka'avak and can be seen watching her intently and mirroring her actions. Ka'avak has noted this
- Ka'avak was much more hands (claws) on with raising Zek'hara bc she is her prodigy
