Biography
Etna is hardened dragon who is both the head of guard and the third in line to become Matriarch after Oriso and Forestheart are finished. Her mate is the future Grand Father to the hatchlings, and many dragons believe that these two shall usher in a new age for the clan when it is their turn to lead. Secretly she is nervous about leading the clan, but she is young and has a very long time before her turn comes. She still is important to making decisions for the rest of the clan.
Her personality seems to be as cool as winter's breeze, but the passion in her heart and soul matches the fires of the lands she was born. Every sunrise she patrols the territory alongside Forestheart, the afternoons are spent training the guard and sharpening her own skills, while the night leaves her resting early beside her noodley mate in their own small and private den in the territory.
It's said that when she let's her anger show, it will be the last thing you see. While she can and usually does keep a cool head on and off the battlefield, harm her mate or her hatchlings, and she will become a berserker and keep fighting the attacker(s) until they walk no more. There is a rumor that during the last territory fight with another clan that Oriso's clan had almost lost, and Hellbound chose to get injured in a last ditch effort to have Etna save everyone.
While she is the head of the guard and constantly fights, it does not mean she has no respect for her fallen opponents. If they are clanless, she takes them to one of her few personal graveyards to be burned, jarred, and buried in the ground with something from their birthclan (ocean water for water flights, stone carved suns for light flights, etc). On her days off she tends to these graveyards, giving prayers to each fallen dragon or beast there. Many times during these prayers, she wishes for one day where these graveyards may never have another soul added to them, and wishes for peace to happen soon.
In her youth, she was nothing more than a theif that had tried to steal from the clan, and while many wanted her to be exalted, Oriso chose to adopt her into the clan, and now that time has passed, Etna has proven that she is a worthy and reformed member of the clan.
