Biography
T H R I A ' N O K THE ANGEL OF DEATH What exactly happens if a dragon falls into the Wyrmwound? Normally they die, almost instantly, sometimes horribly. Occasionally they last a little while as some horrific malady consumes them. At any rate, the general idea of this tragic accident is that the dragon will not survive the encounter. Not even if they're Plague. There must be something stronger about the Ancient dragons because Thria'Nok not only survived...she became something else. |
By all rights, it's a curse. But the reality of Thria'Nok's affliction is that it's more of an...ironic blessing. She cannot live among other dragons. She spreads random diseases through touch and shared food. For the safety of dragonkind, she has no choice but to live entirely alone. She chose a swath of desert wasteland somewhere in Plague territory for her home because it was already devoid of life. The odd creature passes through now and again, but she is pleased with how much she has limited the damage she does. Thria'Nok is often mistaken for a Plague Herald, but the Plaguebringer herself has issued a warrant of protection to her for a very interesting reason.
Thria'Nok is completely immune to every bacteria, virus, parasite, and fungus that the Heralds have conjured.
This makes her a crucial response unit.
After an intense air battle left her crawling screaming out of the Wyrmwound, Thria'Nok did not think she would live, let alone become a first response medic. Well. Medic is a loose term. She cannot save the victims of the Plague Heralds, but she can help them pass on if they cannot bring themselves to do so alone. Her job is grim, to say the least, and, coupled with her isolation, has taken its toll on her mental health. She has tried, time and time again, to kill a Plague Herald. She figured that perhaps if their contagions couldn't harm her, maybe they were mortal under her teeth and talons.
Valiantly, she has done considerable damage in past battles, but something unnatural keeps them alive. They always heal, even when Thria'Nok delivered fatal wounds.
The only dragons she can kill are the ones that never deserved their fate. No matter how tormented she feels about this, no matter how the bulk of society fears or misunderstands her, the ones she "saves"...they are grateful for the painless death.
