Biography
When the Banescales fell to the Gaolers' Final Frost many in Sornieth breathed a sigh of relief. Few had escaped the destructive fires and wicked hearts of the Banescales war parties. War was ugly. Everyone knew that. But to be caught in the path of the Banescales was horrible. Worse was to be in the vicinity of bored Banescales. The Icewarden had many supporters for the sake of sheer survival, but many more had come because of what the other side had done.
As the Gaolers made their final push against the Banescales a lone warrior edged her way from the bulk of the group. She saw the shift in the battle- something was up and the BattleMasters had failed to pick up on it. Fine, then. She was no battlefield snipe. She would call forces to muster and cut off whatever cleverness they thought they could bring about.
Mal called several nearby Banes to form about her and gave basic orders. Her status was unquestioned and orders clear. Just as she looked out to survey the battlefield once more before giving the final order, the Gaoler's surged forward and dropped away to reveal their most senior spellcasters in the midst of a work. Half screamed to attack- and everything went white.
Deep beneath the Great Furnace is a secret place where the Banescales used to keep their most sacred items. The dragon inhabitants have disturbed many of these precious items in their conflicts with the splinter factions. Wraith Banescales are thought to be just another tertiary gene on Banescales, but in reality they are an entirely different sort of Banescale. They are Wraith Banescales or resurrected Banescales. Banescales whose phylacteries have been broken and their souls summoned back to Sornieth. If you see a Banescale surrounded by smoke, don't expect the same reception as one who has grown up in the New Age
