Cold. The air was cold. That's all this hatchling could sense when it was pulled from the warm chamber it was growing in. No... not pulled... born. It was born but not in the traditional sense. This hatchling had been grown not inside an egg but in a chamber. In a lab. In secret. The result of years of calculations and a rather generous donation from a cursed Gaoler. Cursed. Yes. This hatchling was cursed. The scientist, the mother, she was meant to remove all the broken genes - all the glitched genes... but it's not as easy as that. You can't entirely remove heritage. You can't erase what you are completely. What is this dragon? Is it a demon? Is it a monster? Biologically it's an impossible mix of the glitch and the devil. The Devil's Glitch. Yes, that has a nice ring to it. However, only time will tell if the cursed blood runs strong enough through this hatchling to affect it like it affects their father. Only time will tell if this hatchling is a monster. |
