Biography

zVPo1Pb.png Zebra opened her eyes. Where was she? She faintly remembered hatching out of her egg about a week ago, and her mother Zoha bringing her food and taking her to the stream to drink. She was gone now. When she looked up, she saw the rocky walls of a canyon and a blue sky with a few swirly clouds. A few days ago, after feeding her, her mother flew away and still hadn't returned. She was getting hungry, so she climbed out of the small nest and into the medium-sized yellow grass around it. Her stomach gurgled. She tripped over a small stone, and squeaked. She didn't know the dangers of the world yet. She continued to walk around, and eventually she spotted a fairly large grasshopper. Well, it was better than nothing. She crouched, and in a few seconds she was laying down and chewing on a newly caught grasshopper. She wasn't very thirsty, but she sure was sleepy. She slowly walked to a small sapling and curled up in its shade, falling asleep in moments. A few hours leter, she was awoken by wing beats. She yelped and jumped up, hiding behind the nearest boulder. She squeaked softly, scared, but the dragon who landed was not a threat. They were a friend. The dragon, a Goaler named Willow, crouched down and roared softly. She picked Zebra up, and flew her out of the canyon and to somewhere she had never been before. Somewhere like home.

Four Years Later

Zebra had just finished hunting with Willow, and they brought back a deer and two rabbits. As they landed, they talked and laughed together, then shared their hunt with the rest of the clan. As they ate, they chatted and the younger dragons played. This place was perfect, Zebra thought, watching her own young play. Here they could grow up safely, with the love and kindness of all her clanmates. This, she thought, was truly home.

Epilogue
Zebra eventually found her mother, who had been clinging on to the hope that she would find her dragonet someday. They embraced, and were overjoyed to see each other again after so long. Zebra took Zoha to her clan, who welcomed her with open wings. Zoha and Zebra have become closer since finally being reunited, and they both love and rely on each other. They are a force that will never be broken apart.
