"Well now, welcome to my cart. I am Xathir. I sell wares from around the world- as well as perform a multitude of services. Would you be interested in a card reading, by chance? It won't take long at all, I can assure you. Otherwise, feel free to look around and ask me if you need any assistance,"
Xathir, a traveling seer who has been on his own for quite some time. He'll often stop at villages, towns, cities, or wherever he may be for a few days at a time to offer simple card readings and fortunes. Or maybe something else for those a little more adventurous in nature. Though of course, an outsider soul must never know of deals made inside of his cart, or something unfortunate may occur. Those things are private, didn't you know? You should- from your contract- which was sealed with a handshake and a sharp toothed smile. There's no real need to worry, the secrets you give him will never be traded away. Or rather, they will never be traded away without the right price. He's fairly quiet about his own life, despite often asking others multiple questions about their own. After all, it's difficult to tell fortunes and make deals with those you know nothing about. Xathir's questions are for good reasons, or so he says. There's rumours spreading that he may have been someone else once, possibly a long time ago. Someone who aided armies with his visions and saw the aftermath of many great battles. Someone who was once willing to do anything for the luxuries of life and a position of power in a high court. But it's not as if those rumours can be proven. Don't expect him to acknowledge them as having any real merit, either. They are just words, after all. And while words alone hold a great amount of power, these ones are meaningless to him. "Me? A seer aiding in war? I wouldn't last a moment among the court, dear. Perhaps in another life it will be possible, but certainly not in this one." |
