Biography

2P9orCY.png

Quite the unusual little hatchling, Marigold was always more interested in reading books than making friends. When his parents asked him why he didn't want to play with his siblings, he simply replied, "They're not as interesting as these books."

When he had finished reading all the books the clan had to offer, he started growing restless. He would try to make conversation with some of the older dragons, asking for more stories, but none of them were well versed with storytelling. Sighing, Marigold started growing listless, aimlessly rereading the same volumes over and over. His parents knew that the boy needed more than what they could offer him.

In the end, it was decided that the studious dragons in Clan of the Found Family, of the Shadow region, would be most capable of keeping the Coatl's mind busy and engaged.

Marigold couldn't be more eager to go somewhere new, having been promised new tomes and fellow bookworms in the Shadow clan. Minty accompanies Marigold, mostly because the Coatl is rather aloof and would likely get lost if he journeyed alone.

The Fae spotted Heart almost immediately and swoops down to greet him.

"Hello there, we haven't met yet, but I could recognize you easily from the description Jax gave to me. Just as he said, you're quite a magnificent sight to behold. The name's Minty, and this is Marigold." He gestures to the Coal beside him who is peering about curiously.

"Who's the librarian here? Or advanced scholar? Where are the books? When can I start reading them?" Marigold is half mumbling to himself, not bothering to wait for actual answers.

Miinty laughs softly. "He's rather excited for this change of scenery, and the prospect of books, as you can tell. We thank you again for your willingness to take him in. He'll be in good care with you. I must make my way home now, but I'm sure we'll meet again." Another bow, and then he's off.
