ZOYJAXXXXXXXXXXXXXXMatriach History First born of the clan. Blessed by the Ice Warden himself with eyes of ice. Zoyja was destined for greatness the second she hatched, and was more than happy to fulfill that role. Her mate Cepheus gave her a stability her Nocturne blood could not provide, and with this newfound strength crafted the clan into something formidable. Although Quiet did not prove to be as confident as she had hoped, she knew he would eventually be replaced. Slowly expanding and growing in power, Zoyja began to question the Warden's ideals. First was Pyan's curse which he refused to answer for. The disagreements continued, increasing in severity. One day, after a particularly negative exchange, the matriarch declared the clan was moving. Outwardly, she was as cool and collected as ever. Inside, she was terrified. So many things could go wrong with a move as large as this. Despite her fears, Zoyja knew this was necessary. She would not allow her people to be controlled by a beast as cold as the Warden. Cepheus suggested they ask the Lightweaver for her hospitality. With the number of Imperials in the clan, he believed they had a reasonable claim to the land. Despite her skepticism, the goddess was more than happy to grant them an area to settle and grow into. Zoyja never quite felt at home in the new land, forever missing the icy mountains and freezing glaciers of the land of her birth. When Valkyn hatched, Zoyja felt more at peace than she ever had before. The clan had quickly settled into the new home and began nesting. When the first nest was declared to have a primal, she was terrified. She feared the child would be cursed with the black muck of shadow, reminiscent of Pyan's mark. Rather, she was greeted by two beams of light, nestled on the fuzzy head of a baby Imperial. Her parents named her Valkyn, and insisted Zoyja teach the child how to live up to her gift. Zoyja was determined to make this right. It was the least she could do for her goddess. |
