B I O G R A P H Y

Formerly from the Molten Scar in the Ashfall Waste, Chrysoprase grew tired of the heat of the Scar, and bored of leaping between explosive bursts of molten rock for his own entertainment. On a whim, he decided to make his way to the relatively cooler Shifting Expanse, feeling a kinship with the energy found in Stormcatcher’s lightning bolts.

Now Chrysoprase is a valued fighter and scout, often accompanying mage Ferrox on trips ahead of the rest of the clan to find viable food and shelter. The spiral is more energetic than progenitor Chalcanthum would prefer outside of battle, so he encourages these excursions as often as possible. He often finds himself looking for the next exciting thing, whether it be a new item from Ferrox, a new dragon to help guide with Midas, or a new exploratory tunnel to dig in the walls of the canyon to create a den for the rest of the clan.

Although he’s fierce in battle, he, as with many Spiral dragons, may fall into a deep sleep at almost any moment, tightly coiling himself around one of his comrades or a nearby tree or pillar until he next bursts awake in an explosion of energy. Most members of the clan are used to it by now and can spot the signs of either a burst of energy or a drop in it shortly before it happens.

B I O G R A P H Y

As a former resident of the Ashfall Wastes, and being as familiar as he is with forging metal and shaping stones, Chrysoprase can occasionally- rarely - be found sitting relatively calmly and quietly with Cyprium, discussing or creating jewelry and armor for their comrades.

While Cyprium is more exacting in her creations, preferring to add more details, Chrysoprase is quicker to declare projects done, substituting plate for chainmail, or cloth for armor, simply to be able to move onto the next idea. He can sometimes be coaxed back into continuing a project later on, but other times will take it up of his own volition...while the rest of the lair is trying to sleep. Cyprium will grab him and his project and deposit both a distance away from the lair, Chrysoprase only noticing when he reaches for a material and doesn't find it, when he completes the project, or when day breaks and one of his clanmates comes to find him.
