Biography

MORIKO
The Flowering Witch

tumblr_inline_nirti0UZyg1rwdj8f.png
Casting her eyes to the bleak, dreary sky, as desolate as her soul, Moriko sighed, clasping a talon to her wounded, fragile heart. Oh, how she hankered for her love, her soulmate, her everything, Queen Camilla. Her heart felt as if it were about to burst. No matter how many curses she lifted from her clients, she could never lift the curse of love from her own soul. She was truly stuck between a rock and a hard place. She would be driven out, exiled, made a pariah if anyone ever found out; yet, Camilla was the only one who made her complete. Without Camilla, her soul was nothing but a mangled, tortured, hopelessly broken shard of thin glass. For despite Moriko’s cheerful and charismatic countenance, there were concrete walls and steel barriers of defense mechanisms and trust issues encompassing her mind. Still, after many years of desperate heartbreak and searching, she had finally found one she could trust - one she could finally love. It was such an unfair and cruel twist of fate that the one to fill her heart with whimsical thoughts of wonder and happiness had to be the monarch of the winter seasons - not only that, but she had to be a [o]queen-[/i] a female, one whose gender and sexuality could very well get her into trouble.
“Why her?”Moriko wondered desperately, on the verge of tears. “And why me?”
“I love her.” She finally whispered, the cold glow of the moon illuminating her features. A single teardrop, so small yet so meaningful, rolled down her snout. Wiping that tear off her muzzle defiantly, Moriko glared into the unknown. She didn’t want to put on her cheerful, charismatic facade that her clients were so used to anymore. She wanted Camilla.

Overwrought with emotion, she slumped on her bed, mind drifting off into soft nothings and happy memories of the time she had had with Camilla.
Enraptured in her tender fantasies, she rose from her bed in a dream-like trance, stretching out her claws ever so softly as if to hold the hand of a loved one, only to have her talons close around thin air. How ironic - a curse lifter who couldn’t lift her own curse: the curse of love.
