It was winter. The winds pushed against them as they moved. He shivered, the winds were as harsh and biting as they always were, if not worse. Suddenly, he wasn't as inclined to move away from their clan as he was before. The clan was established, powerful, and could defend properly against the cold. Twigs wasn't much help, either. The owl fell behind the Gaoler as he kept walking. Where was he going? Kari didn't know himself.
The tattoos on his fur served as runes to help heat his coat, but the continuous stream of snow was much colder. The heat was more of a warm glow, so he wouldn't overheat in normal environments. Which was not helpful in the freeze he was in now. Well, at least he wasn't turning to ice. That would probably mark the end of their healing days.
