Biography

The Frostwarden
- Strong and resolute, like the steadfast walls of his home
- Observes from afar, never interfering
- Icy chains clink softly as he turns away from that which does not concern him

Quote:
"The Stormcatcher and the Icewarden do not share many things in common, except for on one rare occasion. A long-lost relic had been found, and its value to both dieties was great. It did not look like much; it looked simply like a piece of old, worn stone. The two deities, however, knew better than that. This was one of the first tools used to shape the world of Sornieth, and both laid claim to it as belonging to them. The Icewarden saw it as one of the ancient artifacts that needed to be preserved, but the Stormcatcher claimed ownership since it was most likely once theirs. No agreement was settled upon, for both wanted full possession of the object. Then, one day, it disappeared. Both deities blamed each other for the disappearance, but they had also finally found a common ground: they both wanted the object returned.

Since they didn't want to risk crossing paths, the deities both sent forth delegates to represent them instead. From the Icewarden came a young, knowledgeable Imperial, bearing the colors of the realm and the wisdom needed to find such an object. From the Stormcatcher came a young, ambitious Coatl, one of the most talented in the Shifting Expanse, with a natural eye for finding all things hidden and the drive to get it done. Both were tasked with retrieving the missing object, no matter the cost, and to not let the dragon of the other deity get in the way or bring it back first.

The two dragons journeyed through Sornieth, checking everywhere from Dragonhome to the Southern Icefield for the missing artifact. Despite being on the same quest, both dragons miraculously seemed to miss each other, until there was rumor of the an odd stone object found in the Tangled Wood. When this reached their ears, both turned and immediately headed for the land of Shadows. This was the first time the two dragons came face to face. Although they were rather shocked by the other's shockingly similar appearance, they both also knew their orders and were determined not to let the other get close to the artifact.

Rumor had it that the artifact was being kept by the Shadowbinder himself, and so both journeyed forth to retrieve it as quickly as they could. True to the Shadows, they had to play and win a game against the god to win back the object. After multiple trials and failures over the next 6 days, the two dragons swallowed their pride and admitted that this could not be done without the two of them uniting their strengths. On the seventh day, they approached the Shadowbinder once again, this time not as individual, warring dragons, but as a united team. They played, and they won.

The Shadowbinder handed over the object, and the two were enemies once again. In their struggle to claim the object as their own, it shattered, and from its heart fell a Shadow Runestone. Only then did the Shadowbinder confess that the entire thing, from the artifact to the search, had been a ruse to "make life more interesting," but also to bring together two deities so different and show them that they still shared things in common.

The two dragons returned to their deities with the story, and this brought peace between them once again. Since their quest was no more, the dragons decided to meet again to know each other outside the stresses of a quest. Through this way, they became friends, and eventually, mates." - Original Lore
