Biography
Member of Nahlaas
Cammie
Lore Notes
-Known as Cammie by the members of the clan
-Clan leader
-Literal embodiment of the Nahlaas Library. Library is home to powerful magical tomes, but most have to do with necromancy/life, hence the clan and library name
-If Cammie dies, either through violent or natural means, her body will fade to dust and she will be reborn as a new dragon in the library. She will appear randomly at the heart of the building and will appear within 2 days to 6 months
-She is reborn as a hatchling but rapidly grows to an adult, much faster than regular dragons
-Depending on how she died, her memories can be spotty and it can take a couple of months to a couple of years for her to full recover everything
-Her daughter, Lightbulb, will take over the clan for her when she is gone or incapacitated
Cammie is patient and studious. She genuinely cares for her clan and makes an effort to do right by them. When she first formed, she did not expect dragons to flock to her halls and read her collection. She was pleasantly surprised by the dragons who came to study, and grew to appreciate their company. As long as a dragon is kind to her librarians and her books, she will let them stay.
Most of the dragons in the clan are either a) Librarians and book keepers born in the clan or b) Magically inclined dragons that traveled to the library to study and ended up staying permanently. There is also a collection of dragons who live in the clan and make money off of supplying the clan with necessities such as clothing, food, materials, ect.
The quickest way to her good side is a gift of a book she does not already own. Because of the nature of the library and her accepting nature, disgraced sorcerers found themselves a home in her halls. Most would gift her with a book of their studies and would make efforts to be exceedingly kind to her staff. Because of this, many necromancers found themselves living in her halls.
Due to this, death was often temporary in her clan. The most powerful necromancers would enjoy a seat of high power and respect in the clan. However, death was not unavaoidable. If a dragon died before the necromancer could get to them, died of a ailment that was impossible to bring them back from, or if the head necromancer themselves died, the dragon could not be brought back. Periods where they are missing a head necromancer are spent rapidly searching or training a replacement.
