Biography
B A R R O W
gravedigger/ambassador
these are the oldest mountains in the world
— — —
-Barrow Mountainshadow, Ambassador to Dragonhome. He has worked more jobs than there are ways to die. And he has seen many of those.
-He grew up in the domain of the Flamecaller. He swears he still finds ash in his hair from time to time.
-The graves that no one ever visits still have flowers and offerings left at them. Barrow claims to know nothing about it, and pushes the brim of his hat down to hide the twinkle in his eye.
-He is as mournful as the Earthshaker himself. Perhaps that is why he accepted this position.
-The spirits that still linger in this realm like him. He hopes they will be able to move on someday, but in the meantime he tells them stories. Makes sure they know that someone remembers them.

-He/they
-He’s had numerous jobs throughout his life; Blacksmith, Combat medic, Railroad man, Miner, Sheriff’s Deputy, Leatherworker, Gravedigger, Ambassador. Nothing seems to stick.
-He’s tired. But exhaustion won’t keep him down. Not when there’s work to be done. And there’s always work to be done.
-An absolute bear of a man; Nearly 7 feet tall, with arms as thick as tree trunks and claws so big he could dig graves with his bare hands if he needed to. Not to be trifled with.
-No innate magic, but he doesn’t need it. He gets on just fine.
-Voiceclaim: Steve Shell (Old Gods of Appalachia)
-highly specific aesthetic; faded scars from the cinders of a forge. playing songs for the dead on an out-of-tune guitar. leaving offerings at the graves of people you never knew. knowing the secrets of the earth, and knowing it’s best if only you and the dead are privy to them.
