Biography
__________ |
When the Shade is dominant, Aivrozy becomes bold and social. They’re constantly hungry, aggressive and more animalistic. Their voice gets lower and louder, and the Shade brings out more hidden aspects of their personality such as humor and protectiveness. They’re destructive and energetic. The Shade affliction causes Resira to struggle to read their mind and feel their emotions occasionally, making them one of the most unpredictable dragons in the Bleeding Lair. However both sides of Aivrozy’s personality have a good bond with Resira, and they connect especially well with Aphaeleon due to the similarities between the Shade power and the Primal Ice power. As of yet Aivrozy has seemed disinterested in romantic prospects. | __________ |

Aivrozy was born like any other hatchling. They were normal. They were carefree and gentle, until the water around their clan started to thicken and turn black. No one really noticed it until a hatchling swam too deep and disappeared. He never resurfaced, and when his father went after him he was lost too. A constant sense of unease settled down in the clan, and yet Aivrozy felt calm among the fear of their clanmates. They spent long hours reassuring the fearful to rest, unconcerned about the effects until one morning they awoke to find themself covered in black slime. As they tore themself free and stumbled out of their cave they discovered the remnants of their clanmates. Decaying flesh, jutting bones, their eyes rotting in their skulls. Those who were alive had the vicious sludge pouring out of their jaws endlessly. The smell of death was overwhelming. The past few weeks had been a dream, and their whole clan was consumed. Their head felt heavy, and they raised their claws to their face. They squished uncomfortably before they connected with their scales, and they slowly drew them away from their eyes. The slime coated their claws, and when they looked down it dripped off their snout. Fear filled their heart for the first time. Several months later... “Oh come on. I thought you said you could hear someone’s thoughts a minute ago?” The deep, male voice reverberated in Aivrozy’s skull, causing them to flinch. “I could, darling. Be patient. It was strange and felt muddled, maybe not entirely dragon.” The female had a much softer voice, it was quiet and fluid compared to the male’s, which felt like ice prickling at their ears. Aivrozy hadn’t run into any other dragons since leaving the Tangled Wood, and based on the disgusting, reddish dirt they were crossing over into the Scarred Wastelands. The worst place for them, but it was the best option to keep others safe from their shade-tainted body. Here the Shade would slowly be killed by disease, and the only dragons at risk would be the feral packs of mirrors that patrolled the wasteland. Aivrozy hadn’t considered that there would be clans choosing to live under the poisonous rule of the Plaguebringer. “Look there. That doesn’t look like plague.” Aivrozy was torn out of their thoughts by the male voice. They looked down at their feet and were horrified to see that the Shade that dripped from their eyes had pooled up enough to be visible to the other two dragons. They froze as a long horn jutted around the corner. So the male was a Ridgeback. A second later they were staring into a glowing, icy eye. It steamed in the heat of the Wasteland. As he stepped into full view, Aivrozy could recognize his black and red stripes. He was the legendary Frozen King, Aphaeleon. A rare Ice Primal, and a wanted criminal. Their parents had told stories about him to scare the hatchlings to sleep. They snapped their wings open to take off and flee, but he merely pinched them with a massive taloned hand and lifted them up off the ground. “Looks like we’ve got a little Shade creature on our hands my love.” His voice was painful this close. “Phale, don’t manhandle them!!” The fluid-voiced female rounded the corner, revealing herself to be a small black spiral with cloudy dark blue eyes. “Shh, darling, it’s okay. Aphaeleon is too rough but I promise we’re here to help you.” |
