"No one will ever die till I'm alive." ╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯ The crisp air stroked Hela's fur. The day before rained all day and her paws were wet after the long walk. She looked down, marveling at her claws covered in mud. A ray of sunshine lit up her gray fur, highlighting its beautiful shades but only REVENAT was here to admire it. It was early in the morning and the two dragons were playing near the river, quite far from the Clan's dens were they were still sleeping. The gurgling of the water was slight and graceful, like a melody, giving Hela a sense of calm and peace. The birds were singing, the water was flowing and the leaves were rustling in the wind when a sparrow fell in front of her, exhaling the last breath. "Oh?" she whispered. She was confused: she didn't know the meaning of «Death». Her Clan's mates didn't tell her about it, she was too small and innocent to be aware of it yet. Hela gentely picked up the inert body, touching its feathers with her muddy claws. "Why isn't this sparrow moving?" she asked in a soft voice. "Because the Plaguebringer said so." REVENANT replied. "What do you mean?" The big Gaoler thought about a good reply for a while, before answering her question "Hela, listen: our world is ruled by Deities and they decide when our hour comes. We can't refuse to leave this world just because we want to keep living, we don't have the power to do so. It is called «Death». It doesn't hurt and its totally normal: i will leave this world too,one day.". "I don't understand..." she concluded with frown, still looking at the sparrow. She didn't looked at REVENANT once since he started talking. She couldn't physically understand, she wasn't built to prove emotions but it wasn't her fault. She was missing what every living creature on Sornieth had: a soul. No one knew that, Hela neither; she appeared like a very innocent and pure hatchling that everyone in the Clan wanted to protect and love since they found her alone under a rainy evening, lost and hungry. "I don't want anyone to die." she whispered "No one will ever die anymore till i will be alive.". "Oh, sweetie... Imagine a world where no one dies. Can you imagine the hunger you would feel because it is overpopulated? Yeah, it would be awesome ofcourse, your loved ones will be immortal but... This is not what our deities want. They have a plan for us under their flight." He said while smiling. Hela didn't replied, she was looking at the bird again. But this time her muzzle was focused and her eyes weren't blinking. "Hela?" asked worried REVENANT "Do you hear me? I am talking to you.". Ofcourse she heard him, she wasn't deaf. Suddenly she closed her eyes, her paws too over the little bird, whispering something incomprehensible. She opened her eyes and paws. The bird flew away. "HELA... What did you just do?" "I just did the right thing to do."
