Biography

Jekyll and his fae friend, Hyde, are some of the strangest friends in the Solar Cell Clan. Jekyll himself is part of the Transumuting Thymes and Nettle Kettles as a ridgeback who loves to experiment on potions that effect dragons abilities though he can get in trouble when trying to find test subjects for his potions. This usually leaves him to experiment on himself. Some experiments he says that no real changes occur though at night and sometimes random gaps of daydreaming leave him "awakening" in a brand new place with no idea how he got there. This is usually when his crackle begins to glow then slowly fade.

Day 1: I just woke up. Strange, I didn't realize I was a child, I feel like I've been seeing things in my mind for days, like a strange connection I keep seeing on loop. It starts in my eyes then spreads through my crackle markings. I heard that I was suppose to be called Dracula because my x's in my XYX are both blood colored. Nethertheless, I am not the only one around here, and much more not the only one like me. Me and this Fae hatched today, we had unusual eye color though I wonder how he feels, strange like me?
Day 2:
I find my new and strange powers inside me bubbling under my skin and soaking up at the roots of my spines and swarming my crackle genes. I find the feeling amusing and delightful though quite noticeable as Vixen my teacher pointed out that they were glowing while teaching us how to make an elixir of health. Hyde wasn't too content with the luxuries of Vixen's lair, though I'd be surprised if anything amused him. I don't understand why he knocked over potions after the lesson but Vixen handled the action proficiently- like she's had to many times before. I'm more interested in teacher Bobcat who checks in on clan history with us so we understand our lineage and the roles of our society. I wish I didn't know my parents.
Day 3:
I will never understand how my mother met my father- considering their occupations in Solar Cell. Mother is a questionably active Bounty Hunter/Mage with "Aunt" Ruby while my father is a sly, heavy-weight Brute with a rather mysterious yet pleasant demeanor with an enrollment as both a trainer but most recognizably, detective. But because he is so widely famed and mother bringing in a scandal from the Castigators, my peers surrounding my being all have yet decided upon my morals and speck role I enforce with my mere presence. Hatchlings gasp or look wide-eyed when I enter a room reminding me of the stress I am under to live up to what is expected of me yet how can I when I am a mere Mage compared to my parents dangerous line of work? The only one around here who would rather prefer I endeavor for something drastic is Hyde, so far the only thing I find comforting about this fellow.
Day 4:
It never helps that my parents are never home- though it is rather expected because of their line of work. Nevertheless, I find potion making is what I prevail at. However the steps to complete it are how I find my parents jobs, barbaric. In simplicity, we are attempting to form a brew we have never in our wildest imaginations grasped the concept of component finding rather taking the primal instincts our brains divulge from our learnt experience and assuming all will be well with its literate linguistics. Though these foolish assumptions seem to fulfill their purpose, in use, Vixen tells me it is rude to assume anything other than inanimate reactions. Though her moral structure and teachings sway me to believe her just phrases, I find her ignorant to the hypocrisy that spills from her tongue. If their were truth in her teeth, I'd be able to eat without scornful or inquiring looks from the menagerie.
Day 5:
Today is a quite peculiar experience for much of the clan, Friday the 13th. Though while the whole bad luck superstition is an amusing for most of we hatchlings, I’ve noticed only mages and darkly dressed dragons outside while all other homes are boarded up and shuttered with whatever the house could muster. I did notice that the guards weren’t visible either though I could tell they were nearby, hearing the slight shifts and falling foliage while the breeze was buried in the bushes with the hiders. Though the clan knew of their presence as common as one’s own being, they feared showing it as I would soon learn why. All of my bewildered colleagues around me stood in the center of the treetop bridge when the horrors began to catapult over our heads. Waves of Tricksters suddenly flew by and we all ducked for cover when we saw that they were attempting to throw salt everywhere, steal good luck charms and wind chimes, and even shave Fuchsia’s cat thinking it was a black, ominous cat! Then as swiftly as they prowled through the street, they abandoned it in eerie silence transforming it into a barren wasteland which the huddle of us stood detached from the insight the eldest knew was creeping up on us from the horizon. Then as our myopic minds settled down enough for us to grasp what we had just witnessed, we found the foreground fables turn truth in a matter of mere minutes. The wind quick-started the frenzy with a fierce wind that nearly threw us off the railing. Paint cans fell and splattered on rooftops, leaves and branches fell and shattered windows’ barriers( guess they were smart to cover them), flower pots and fragile china broke that wasn’t fastened to the cabinets, swarms of crows dive-bombed at the nets Demeter placed over her garden but couldn’t reach through to the berries instead settling for pecking down signs and whizzing past our ears and shredding tundras’ soft coat as use in nest making. Then the rain began to downpour like monsoons out of a hurricane’s peak condition. I hated water! As it touched my skin I felt like hissing at the sky but kept my collected physique. That’s when Vixen rushed out with her apprentice Hawthorn who shielded us from the dilemma with massive wings that come close to that off my mother’s size. We rushed to the safety of the inside, calming our breaths and cooling down our racing minds til we discerned the fact we were missing someone. Hyde, that fool! He remained in the center of the path laughing. Vixen yelled for him to come inside but flared back with a twisted smirk and returned to the sky laughing hysterically. And as I never seen before, his spines lite up radiantly and he unleashed his wings. Around him, the wind thrusted. Hyde smiling, jumped from the ground and spread his wings and flew! A hatchling flying at his age, flying! Then the wind began to die down permitting the return of the crowd of crows who circled him as he touched back down. Suddenly those spines flashed a beam of light as Vixen rushed out to help Hyde. When she shot a breath, she found it pointless, Hyde was breathing heavily but we all saw him shoot down the crows. He smirked and walked away from the scene as a lantern fell from a post and started to burn the bridge’s support ropes. I ran out to him but the bridge was already engulfed as the smoke made me loose sight of the Fae. I was still as Vixen pointed out that we should head inside, I simply handed her a fire retardant spell I brewed and walked distant in my thoughts and words describing what I’d just seen.
Day 6:
Two new hatchlings have made their way into the clan just as my peers around me are moving their way out into the world, growing up and finding homes though they are quite young are reckless. As for me, I will stay with this clan as partake in a role here, mostly an alchemist. I decided that I'll be moving out of Vixen's house and find my own place, surely the Lodgers can fix me up a place, even if they are still working on the disaster control with the Guild from yesterday's omens. I have to work on a farewell speech to all of my classmates, something about me setting an example of superior excellence or just another gibberish phrase for putting stress on my social status. I better get back to writing it.
Day 7:
Well today is finally the day I come of that age where I move out and start my life in the clan, sure wish my parents were here to see. If only they could make time but when I am some dragons' only kid I guess they don't know what to do. I will have to move all this in myself though, as long as the lodgers are teaching their new recruit and fixing Hyde's work. I wonder where he is, I haven't seen him around.
Day 8:
My stuff is finally in my house: all my beakers, test tubes, graduated cylinders, and pippettes; all made possible by Flamebloom. I really dont know what I'd do without that dragon's glass making skills. Vixen helped me out, setting up my labratory and all, I offered her some seafood though she wasn't a seafood fan. At least I had some seaweed. Plant eaters! She wonders how I could stand potion making when I had to use water as an ingredient, but simply I don't see it as water once I add ingredients. I love watching the foggy vapors rise up and land cooly on my skin. Though if I mess anything up, I'll be strictly critizized more than I can bare. It's no wonder that I have put up shutters and heavy curtains in this part of the room. Vixen just thought I was making potions requiring certain amounts of light. Just another book to purchase and learn out of.
Day 9:
Today is my first day of actual getting into research. I thought more about Hyde's disappearance and how no one seems to mind it, well other than me and somewhat Vixen. She seems a little disturbed with it though. Well, I'm starting my own project, mostly about making a potion to get me out of this situation I'm in, being watched by all my peers, maybe if I can enhance the essence of someone dragons prefer to ignore I can crack a potion that'll give me temporary space from all these pressures. If that doesn't work, maybe I can find one that'll get rid of my urge to free myself of these feelings of captivity.
Day 10:
I found several several candidates for my project, there's the Tricksters, the brutes, and finally that mirror starting with the letter R that I can never remember. SO, I decided to scrounge up a bit of essence from each one to be able to craft a proper potion for my experiments. Bird necklaces they own of feathers from familiars are always preferred because of quantity though the more like them it is the stronger. While I am stuck finding an accurate, precise concentration of the substance, I will work with what I have to test it on test subjects. I'm at least somewhat optimistic it's not deadly but we dragons have a good resistance(probably more if there was actual a poison flight). I tried it in Casandra's pumpkin seeds, Lavender's mulberry tea mix, and Shadowflare's honeycombs though the candidates that ate them didn't appreciate having their food tampered with. Now I fear they'll discover I tested on them so off I go looking for more test subjects. Well, I guess I'm okay with this so maybe I should try looking in the mirror to solve most of my dilemmas, man I need to get a mirror in here!
