Mom and Dad had a nest of four eggs, but one never hatched. Three came out of the nursery healthy and fine, but over the weeks the last egg stood. It did not rot or anything, so they assumed the baby must have developed later than the rest. But it never hatched. Years passed and yet, in the birth records, their supposed second child, #55055055, still remains a mystery. It is rumored that the spirit of the child has escaped and slipped away, leaving this world before taking its first glimpse of the lush greenery and bright light that shone over the grasses of the Beacon of the Radiant Eye.

Mom was guilty. She knew what had happened to the egg, but she was poor and worked as a simple farmer, she did not have the funds to consult a healer to inspect the egg. She descended from an infamous line of the Glitch Queen, as well as her mate. Though distant, Naomi's blood still resonated within her, and if she'd known she'd have a miscarriage or that her children were going to have defects, she wouldn't have given birth in the first place.

That slot in the birth certificate remained empty for a long time before other families eventually fought for that prestigious spot with a marvelous number pattern. Eventually, it was bought over by the highest bidder, a giant family of misfits with the access to immeasurable wealth.

This one in particular is more carefree and optimistic. Dewdrop in particular was a late bloomer and never knew much about her lost sister in the echoes. She grew up in a normal school in a normal life and didn't bother to actually pursue this mystery. She was born with only slight memories of Naomi's vision but she chose to ignore such voices and delusions. Instead, she chose to mingle with everyone else and forget her history and ancestry. She greatly believes that everyone is capable and are born good, and that no one should be subject to prejudice just because they are different genetically.

Years had passed, and she had all but forgotten about her sister that had never been. She joined the lair of a dragon that could only be described as eccentric. The dragon introduced herself as Scourge, but told the young Fae to not mind the name for she was not as mean as the name implied. Now, Scourge and her mate, Nithhogr, originally hailed from the Plague-lands, but had decided it was high time for a change in scenery. Their decision was to move to Ice for the time being. They weren't sure when they'd move back to the Scarred-Wasteland, but it would happen at some point Scourge promised.

Well, during the move, Dewdrop came across a Fae who seemed to posses a familiar face. But since she couldn't tell why this particular fae seemed familiar, Dewdrop ignored it for the most part. This plan didn't make it quite as far under the radar as she had hoped, and Scourge decided the 2 girls would and should be denmates. What had stopped her from arguing the decision of her leader she'll never know. Perhaps it was the knowing twinkle in Scourge's eye, or perhaps the growing sense of home and comfort radiating from this unknown Fae that kept her quiet.
