The demon of Chaos

A thick fog covers the land you find yourself in. The trees aren't normal here. They seem to have faces, ones twisted in pain. The air smells different too, smelling like how you'd picture anger if it had a scent. Pink eyes watch you, and soon you're face to face with a large, odd tundra. Her irises are black, not a normal white color. her pupils are tiny, wild with anger. A large twisted grin crosses her face. Before you can do anything else, everything goes black. You are back where you were, but something is off. As you leave, the dragon watches. Her grin goes from ear to ear, and she laughs.

Hocas is a dragon of mostly unknown origins. most think she's just some shade touched loon like everyone else in Hades. That isn't the case at all. Like a few dragons here, she is really a demon. She has a dangerous power as well. She can warp your senses, making you think one thing is another. She wasn't always a demon though. A very long time ago, she used to be just a kind arcane dragon. She was a fluffy hatchling, ready to adventure. She snuck out from her home and began on her merry little way. She soon was stopped by a dragon on their way to Hocus's home town for trades. Hocas blabbed openly about her escape, and the dragon quickly returned her home.

Hocas was angered, but her parents were more than happy to give the traveler almost anything. Interestingly all they asked in exchange was a room to stay in for three days. In those three days, Hocas grew to love this new dragon. She looked up to them, like an older sibling. The dragon told Hocas many stories. Soon Hocas wanted to travel, even more, begging the dragon to take her with them. After a long pause, the dragon spoke. They told her if she trained they may. They also said she would have to be an adult since it'd not be wise to take such a young child with. Hocas complained at first but soon agreed. The dragon left on the third day, saying they'd return for her one day. They even left a gift, a lovley darksteel chocker. Hocas trained for the day, learning everything she could with excitement and glee.

Finally, they showed up. Hocas had since grown up into a wonderful fighter. She could fight anyone with ease. She raced to the dragon, who grinned as they say her. The two hugged, stayed three nights, and left. It was everything Hocas ever wanted. It was adventure, hijinks, and nothing but fun with her friend. It was perfect, for Hocas at least. Soon, the dragon grew distant over the years. They stopped smiling every time Hocas said a joke or did something they normally enjoied. Hocas couldn't tell though, too blinded by the thrill of an adventure with the person she always looked up to. They never told her, but they grew sick of her. The dragon started to grimace everytime she'd make a joke they had heard before. They got sick of her getting them into trouble because she was curious.

The dragon began to hate Hocas, but never bothered to tell her. They just kept faking a smile or a laugh. Hocas one night woke up to find them gone, and found them soon talking to another person. They sounded tired, but Hocas couldn't make out the words. Hocas narrowed her eyes, and began to plan. Her friend seemed upset, or tired. All Hocas wanted to do was cheer them up. She began to make a wonderful gift for them. The dragon was really just complaining about Hocas though. When time came for Hocas to give them their gift, they had already made a plan of their own. Hocas presented the gift, and the dragon seemed very happy. It was a new sheith for their favorite knife, carved nicley from leather and sown with care.

The dragon then suggested something. They spoke of a dangerous quest for Hocas to go on with them. It had danger, high stakes, and everything they loved. Hocas herself perfered more calm and mellow quests, but their eyes were so bright and smile huge. She couldn't say no, so she said yes. The trip alone was painful for her, her fur always catching fire or getting snagged. She ignored it though, happy to go with her friend. Soon, they came to the place. The quest was to slay a dangerous beast that rivaled even a dragon's powers. The dreaded Hydra. The two lept into battle, and it was a dangerous fight.

Before the Hydra finally died, it bit Hocas. She let out a loud screech, backing up. She fell, unable to stand. The dragon ran over, having finally finished off the dragon. Hocas looked at them weakly with a kind grin. The dragon, however, had an unreadable face. They weren't healing the wound but studying it. Hocas began to feel faint, the bloodloss getting to her. She asked the dragon what was wrong. The dragon just stared at her wounds. Finally, Hocas yelled at them, and that seemed to snap them back. They explained that they had to run to town to get treatment. Hocas questioned this, but the dragon explained that if they moved her she'd die of blood loss. Hocas looked at them then grinned. She told them that she trusted them. They nodded, then began their run down the mountain. What Hocas didn't know, is that they had no intention of returning. They had quite enough of her and thought this would be the best way to cut ties with such a stubborn and annoying dragon.

Hocas stared as they left, grin never leaving her face. She waited a long, long time. It took her about five years to finally die, her magical power helping to make sure that her body didn't fully die. When she finally died, her mind figured it out. Her friend, the one she trusted most, left her to die. Rage consumed her, and her magic erupted from her very core. The process, mixed with the lingering rage of the hydra and other things made her body and soul change. Her mind went wild, and she became a demon in that fit of rage and sadness. She swore, as she finally awoke to her new form, that the dragon that left her for dead would pay. It took her eons, but she made it so that any dragon that new her old friend ended up dead in the worst way they could imagen. her power made it so.

As the decades went on, she began to not even care who she hurt anymore, any lingering sanity left fading. Soon, she was nothing more than any other demon. The only difference is Freakshow wanted her. He captured her and made her his own. Hocas isn't his personal demon, like Mara, but instead is one he just keeps in check. She is often an attack dog of sorts, only she does have something that keeps her from acting like a wild dog and more like an abandoned toy. She personally loves attacking those who seem the type to leave things behind, even if it's something that normally someone wouldn't care about.
