Spirits aren't uncommon within Sornieth. In fact, several flight territories seem to lend themselves to their existence. The Southern Icefields are one such region. The elements deliver an excellent refuge for the spirits: constant blizzards obscure the eye, the cold so intense that many dare not venture far from their settlements.
In fact, most spirits found in Ice are the remnants of dragons that ventured too far. The elements were too much, and they succumbed. These spirits are quiet, pacifistic, just the faint outline of a dragon in a rushing snowstorm.

However, to say that this is the nature of all spirits is a grave mistake. A plethora of entities with more questionable intentions lurk amidst the crags and stalk between the trees.

The Lupine Spirit lurks in the streets of Glacial Hearth. It appears when the lights falter, when the flurries blind the vision, within the long shadows cast in the alleyways between buildings.
It cuts no corners in making its appearance known. The shadowy wisps of smoke, the fangs glinting unnaturally, the spine broken and contorting the body impossibly. No one knows why it lingers. No one knows what it wants.

The skeptics still remain. Maybe the primal chill, the streak of numb fear in the heart is just paranoia. Maybe the ambient snarling is some stray outside. Maybe the hands you see in the murkiness of dusk are just.. well.
