Patriarch
Hatched alone out of an abandoned nest, a young mirror realized that he needed to find someway to survive the Wyrmwound on his own. It isn't unusual for plague hatchling to need to find their way in the world on their own. Parents fall victim to the rot, the monsters, and even other dragoons in the vile wastelands of the plague dominion. A young mirror needs to rely on every natural skill that the Bringer has blessed them with in order to not only survive, but thrive.

Forgoing all natural instincts, he fed on small insects and the odd, scruffy piece of vegetation,
resulting in a much scrawnier creature than he should have been. It was, miraculously,
enough to keep him alive long enough to find a companion in Farra. A small fae dragon,
he assumed she would be easy enough to take by surprise and make a quick meal out of her.
But a small fae can't survive in the wild on their own along the border of the plague and arcane dominions without some sort of defense. She put up a much bigger fight than he anticipated,
and he had to admit that he would not be making off with an easy meal. Realizing that she was a better asset than an enemy, he asked her to join him. Two brains (and sets of teeth) are better than one after all.

They traveled together for a long while, finding it easier to establish themselves together than alone. As time passed, they found themselves in the massive and open Abiding Boneyard,
amongst hundreds of skeletons of downed dragons and their prey. Backed against a small cliff sat an impressive skeleton - an imperial. Nearly longer than the eye could see from one end to the other, it created a windbreak between the area below the cliff and the plains beyond. A nest sat abandoned within the skull of the beast, fragments of long-hatched shells scattered about.
Overlooking the obvious warning signs that something was very wrong to have caused the previous occupants to leave, the two decided that they would make the best of the situation and set up camp.

It didn't take long for Figment and his companion to learn why, exactly, this particular location had been vacated. Beasts of all sorts sought shelter from the harsh, virus filled windstorms that swept in from the Wyrmwound by hiding themselves against the cliffedge. Thankfully, for a fae and an underweight mirror, it was easy enough to hide within a fallen giant's skull when threats came by. Together, the two lived long enough to find their third member, Miles.

Miles, or "that Bringerforsaken scientist" as Figment would come to call him, was a tundra of "suspicious origin". His bright eyes held mischief, clear even to the two cautious survivors.
His colours were bright and distinctive, a motley mix of splotchy colours, his fur seeming thick and healthy. Goggles pushed atop his head, an alchemy pendant hanging from his neck,
he seemed to hve his wits about him. So, of course, the two accepted his help when he offered it,
despite their reservations. The two soon found it easier to find food and other necessities in the Boneyard with the finely tuned nose of a tundra aiding them.

In exchange for his help, though, Miles asked not only for a place in the fledgling clan, but also to continue working on his potions and tinctures. Wondering why permission was needed for this,
Figment simply shrugged it off and told the alchemist he could do whatever he'd like. This would come to bite him viciously when Miles slipped a little addition into a meal he prepared for the young leader. This potion caused the small, malnourished mirror to a strong and sleek Skydancer.

The transformation was excruciatingly painful, so much so that it nearly resulted in the banishment of the alchemist. However, as all plague dragons know, from pain comes pleasure and prosperity. Once the change had taken place, he felt stronger. Happier. His mind, clearer.

He was no longer a victim of the Abiding Boneyard. Now, he ruled it.
